Friday nights are about more than the game. They're about community, family, school spirit, and cheering on our kids. 🧡
A few reminders to keep your athletes healthy this season:
🚰 Hydrate. Don't wait until you're thirsty.
🥗 Fuel the body. Protein, fruits, vegetables, whole-food carbohydrates, and healthy fats help support performance and recovery.
😴 Prioritize sleep. Rest is part of training.
💪 Strength & conditioning. Building strength helps support performance and injury prevention.
🧠 Take head injuries seriously. When in doubt, sit them out and get evaluated.
🩹 Don't play through significant pain. Small injuries can become bigger ones when ignored.
🌡️ Respect the heat. Even as temperatures begin to cool, hydration and heat-illness awareness remain important during practices and games.
Parents, remember that your athlete doesn't need to be perfect to be healthy. They need good nutrition, adequate rest, movement, encouragement, and adults who are paying attention.
From our small-town clinic to our local athletes: we're cheering you on!📣
🏈 Let's keep our kids strong, healthy, safe, and ready to enjoy the season.
