Today we want to give a huge shoutout to our first-ever Dignity Internship group! These students come from schools all over Nebraska and beyond.

They are interested in various career fields, including:
👩‍⚕️ Women's Health & Family Medicine
🩺 Nursing
🧠 Psychology & Counseling
👶 OB-GYN or Pediatric Care

When asked about their experience so far, our intern Julia (pictured far left) says, "Having the opportunity to intern at Dignity in Healing Collective has been such a rewarding experience so far! I have gained such valuable skills, insight, and knowledge into the collaborative care model that I will apply to future roles. I’m so thankful to be apart of the first group of interns and I am excited to see what the rest of the summer will bring!"

We are so grateful to them for choosing to intern with us! We've loved getting to know and helping them learn more about their chosen fields of study. We can't wait to see how they grow into their future professions. 💚

Teonette Lucas, MSW, LIMHP, has joined the Dignity team as a Supervising Therapist to work with our care managers, primary care providers, and other psych providers, connecting our teams and providing our patients with direct mental and behavioral health care.

She is an accomplished clinical professional, therapist, and supervisor with an extensive background in social work, mental health therapy, and clinical leadership. ⚕️💼

Throughout her career, she's dedicated herself to serving individuals, youth, and families across federal, school, community, and private practice settings.

As a licensed therapist, she specializes in trauma-informed care, helping clients navigate complex challenges and build long-term resilience.

Complementing her direct clinical work, she has held director-level and supervisory roles where she managed clinical operations, guided practice standards, and mentored the next generation of mental health professionals. 👩🏾 🤝 👩‍🎓

She is deeply passionate about fostering collaborative environments where clinicians can thrive and ensuring that communities receive the highest-caliber evidence-based care.
