One last taste of summer. ☀️🌽🍋

Next week's menu is LIVE, and this is officially our last summer menu of the year.

I pulled together some of the dishes that just feel like summer for one final round — Cilantro Lime Chicken, Chimichurri Steak, Pork Carnitas, Coconut Curry Shrimp, Southwest Chicken Salad and more.

And if you're a Lemon Blackberry Parfait person… I'm just saying, you might want to get one. 👀 She's heading into seasonal retirement after this week.

Same goes for a few of our other warm-weather favorites as I start making room for what's coming next.

Because next Friday?
We go FALL. 🍂

As always, orders placed Friday–Sunday are for Wednesday pickup/delivery, and Monday–Wednesday orders are for Saturday.

Traditional charcuterie doesn't always love an outdoor summer party.

But this? This was made for it. ☀️

For Nicole's party, we skipped the traditional meat-and-cheese-heavy spread and built a Mediterranean-inspired grazing table instead.

Whipped ricotta. Hummus. Marinated vegetables. Caprese. Olives. Artichokes. Bruschetta. Tapenade. Parmesan. Warm-weather flavors, lots of color, and plenty of things to grab a little of while wandering around with a drink in your hand.

It still had everything I love about a beautiful grazing table: abundance, texture, color..... but it actually made sense for a summer party.

And honestly?

I think I might like this even more than traditional charcuterie. 💜

This is my favorite kind of catering: not starting with “Which package do you want?”

Starting with “Tell me about the party.”

Then we build the food around it.

Well hello to all the new faces around here! 👋💜

There are quite a few more of you hanging out with me after this weekend, and I'm so glad you're here.

And your timing is pretty good... because I'm getting ready to head into the kitchen for this week's Chef-Prepared Meals. 👩🏻‍🍳

So if this is your first time ordering, here's the easy version:

I'll do the shopping, chopping, cooking and dishes. 😂

Last weekend I had the chance to head back to the Eden Corn Festival and judge the BBQ competition, which is pretty much my kind of assignment! Give me a fork, a score sheet and a whole bunch of people doing creative things with food and I'm happy 🤤

This one has a little history for me, too.

Three years ago, my good friend Ron from American BBQ project, invited me and our other friend Dan to compete in the competition as part of his team. It was an absolute blast!

Last year Ron moved over to helping organize and run the competition and invited me back, this time on the judging side of the table.

And this year, I was lucky enough to get the invitation again 🍀

There were some seriously creative dishes coming across that judging table. This year's categories were:

Brisket
Ribs
Pulled Pork
Corn inspired food truck fare

Days like this are such a good reminder of how much I love being part of the food community around Western New York. There are some incredibly talented people doing really fun things with food here, and getting invited to pull up a chair and be part of it is pretty damn fun.

Thanks to Ron and everyone who puts so much work into making the competition happen. I loved being back. 💜
