Getting stuck in thoughts, worries, and what ifs about your symptoms? You've probably tried ignoring them - but that often backfires. Here's how to stop engaging with the thoughts so they can drop into the background during recovery.

Vestibular rehab is the gold standard for chronic dizziness, and for good reason. But if it hasn't worked for you, chances are that it's not because you just haven't found the right exercise. Full blog post on the website.

People really, really don't know how to respond to you when you have , and that can make you feel so much more alone. Rather than simmer in resentment, think about what you need them to say, and TELL THEM directly! If they cannot meet your terms, drop that clause of the contract you have with them, and find your people elsewhere. Drop in the comments what YOU'VE found to be a helpful "elevator pitch" for what you're going through and what you need from other people. ⬇️⬇️

If you're scared by people screaming on the Internet that they haven't recovered from their symptoms: everyone CAN recover from neural circuit dizziness (PPPD, vestibular migraine, MdDS). That doesn't mean everyone does. Why? Because many people don't even believe they can, and not everyone is willing to do what needs to be done to recover. So when someone is screaming, send them love and compassion, but don't assume that their story is yours! Full video on YouTube addressing this topic if you want to know more. Link in first comment.

People truly don't know how to respond to you when you have , and that can make you feel so much more alone. Don't simmer in resentment! Think about the minimum response that you need, and TELL THEM directly what that is. If they cannot fulfill the terms of your contract, drop the clause, and find others who can meet that specific need. Drop in the comments what you've found to be the best "elevator pitch" for what you're going through, and what YOU'VE found helpful for others to say ⬇️⬇️

Full recovery is possible. PPPD, MdDS and vestibular migraine are diagnostic labels that do not mean there is an underlying pathophysiological mechanism that cannot be reversed. We've been talking about this for years, but you've needed to hear it from a world expert neurologist and researcher who has devoted his life to chronic dizziness. Now you can. Full interview with Dr. Diego Kaski, MBBS, PhD on the YouTube channel.

Grieving what dizziness and other symptoms have cost you is not the same as saying the losses are permanent. Grief is not a forecast about the future. Grief is neuroplasticity in action, moving you through acceptance of what was lost so you can move forward. When you don't let grief happen, acceptance never happens. Since the brain hates open questions, that open-ended "I haven't come to terms with this" runs in the background, filling your stress bucket and triggering even more symptoms. FEEL YOUR GRIEF.

Your nervous system is predicting danger, so the obvious solution is to help it feel safe, right? So you're not allowed to be overwhelmed during exposures, right? Well... sort of, but I think many people misunderstand what "overwhelm" means in that context.

Many people know that one major key to recovery from neural circuit dizziness and other symptoms is to respond differently to sensations. But how do you do that when you're terrified of the symptom and you can't help it? From this week's coaching group's live Q&A.

The better questions are: 1) why did my symptoms become chronic (neural circuit issues / sensitization) and 2) how do I get to a point where I believe I can handle it if I have temporary symptoms from a virus or BPPV? Address these and you will no longer live in fear - that is what you need for lasting recovery, not just symptom reversal.
