Instead of ED (eating disorder recovery) a pro-recovery place for those affected by eating disorders or disordered eating. This page was created out of need. That's what this page is for.

Sometimes when wanting to engage in ED behavior it's hard to think of what to do instead. This is a group endeavor that further demonstrates that we never have to do this alone. This is from registered dietician Bonnie Roney, RD I know that this can be a challenge and feel counterintuitive for some. However, if you aren't eating enough, your metabolism can slow down. Adding exercise to it can compound it. That's why if you increase your calories at that time, you can initially end up losing weight. The key to a healthy metabolism is consistency & adequacy (ie no restricting).

I really do believe that each person is a masterpiece. Like the arts, there are so many different styles and types of people. Whether it's dance, music or art, where do you see yourself?

Here's your place for your voice to be heard. The more people that share what they're thinking, the less likely that you'll feel alone. I know that i even still feel impacted when it comes to weight stigma. It's good that larger sizes are being represented more but I didn't feel it the last time that i went clothes shopping! What about you? How do you feel?

This is something that applies to everyone, not just our community. There's a lot about life that we can't control. However, there are a number of things that we can control. Some things work well but hurt us in the end. Look at our friend Ed for example. Then there are other ways such as dance. (Make sure you're cleared first.) What else works for you?
