Hi everyone!

We have some great news! We are starting to get our insurance approvals. By December 1, we will be able to bill against Mainecare, Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, and Community Health. Several other approvals are still pending.

Michelle will begin scheduling patients on the afternoon of December 2. Now, I know that everyone is excited to get back to seeing her...nobody knows how great she is better than I do...but our initial scheduling rollout is going to be slow. We don't know what types of glitches we're going to hit and we are going to build a little extra room into the schedule in case we have problems. We are going to work hard to get everyone in quickly, but please understand that we can't get everyone in on our first day -- I suppose we could, but the appointments would only be two minutes long, which probably wouldn't be very helpful 🙂

We're going to do initial scheduling manually, to make sure that people don't get double-booked. If you'd like to get on Michelle's schedule, please text her through Spruce at 207-309-8118 to coordinate scheduling.

Meet Rebel! Rebel is a retired racing greyhound who is in training to become a facility dog at Marsh Island Psychiatry PLLC. A facility dog is trained to work with a professional as a team in a clinical setting. In Rebel’s case, he will be learning how to provide comfort and support to patients during appointments at Marsh Island Psychiatry PLLC. I have some good news:

I am starting to receive contracts from insurance companies, which is almost the last step of the credentialing process. Once each company reviews the signed contract, they will give me a date when I can start seeing patients and billing for services. If you are interested in becoming a patient of Marsh Island Psychiatry PLLC, please email [email protected] with the following information:

• Insurance type

Sending this information to me will serve as permission to allow me to send information to your email securely through the patient chart. I will send a new patient form to your email address. This is a long form but filling it out ahead of time will allow me to get you set up in my system as a patient, which will make getting started much easier.
