At The Meadows of Ottawa, our Catholic community recently came together for a May Crowning ceremony.
The participants sang Marian hymns, prayed the rosary -and celebrated as Edna M. reverently placed the handmade floral wreath.
Such traditions evoke old memories while meeting present-day spiritual needs.
No matter the denomination, we offer our residents a variety of opportunities to gather, practice -and uplift.

Although Memorial Day has passed, the meaning behind it stays with us every day. 🇺🇸❤️
This week, we took a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Through music and reflection, we played a special song in their memory, sharing gratitude, remembrance, and respect with our residents.
Their courage will never be forgotten, and we are thankful for the opportunity to pause and pay tribute to those who served our country so selflessly.

Diverse and sometimes challenging, our Monday Expressive Arts activities deliver a sense of accomplishment -while encouraging connections.
It units a circle with “oohs and aahs.”
It’s more than shared palettes and praise, though.
It’s an opportunity to rekindle a shared love of discovery. Residents are reminded that, at any age, we are all the same capable, curious people we have always been.
Recently we met to talk about the joy serenity brings.
Using hand-poured pots, we created our own mini serenity gardens, using painted pinecones for succulents and our imaginations to fill in the rest.
It’s serendipitous that the participants now have a tangible reminder of the intangible benefits of calm and peace.

Our Legacy Community residents are soaking up the beautiful weather while relaxing in our safe and secure courtyard.
