The BREADWINNER! The ONLY bread I eat is sourdough....dead serious. Restrictive? You betcha!
I have a gluten intolerance and I don't care for most of the refinement processes in gluten free breads. Butttt what about the gluten????

📣 Facts about SOURDOUGH and why it should be your breadwinner.
- It contains higher levels of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
- lower levels of phytate, allowing us to actually absorb the nutrients.
- it's lower on the glycemic index.
- It has LESS GLUTEN naturally than regular bread so much that those with sensitivities rarely
suffer consequences. ( not for those with actual celiac )
- Its EASIER TO DIGEST!!!

How is this possible? It's about the FERMENTATION PROCESS.

It's taken me awhile to write this content because there are so many variables to consider. The dreaded scale! A heavy topic!
Is weighing ourselves just weighing us down????

I've had to reflect on my own relationship with the the scale. Depending on my age and life circumstances, my weight has fluctuated....welcome to this thing called life, right.
The question is... was I weighing myself and how did it make me feel?

I avoided the scale for awhile in college because I was drinking tons of beer followed by taco bell runs on repeat. 25 pounds later, I was like that happened fast! No it actually didn't, I just didn’t want to know.
So I cleaned up my act and lost it BUT then my "goal weight" became a moving target!
I weighed myself everyday and based my food, activities and mood around it.

Just like the number on the scale, we all change as we are supposed to. As I grow healthier as a person both mentally and physically my desire to even know my exact weight diminished naturally.
This is not to imply that I do not care because I would be lying to say it's totally irrelevant. I just know that my weight is most likely within my range of comfort based on my nutrition and lifestyle choices! If I have reason to think otherwise then I hop on the scale.

Weight indoctrination is very hard to break in our society just as the size of our jeans.
If you clearly need to lose excess weight and weight check ins are a temporary tool in assisting you to meet your goals then hop on! But if you have found yourself obsessing over the number on the scale then it might be time to ask yourself ...

Sweating out the toxins is a REAL THING. 💦 your liver thanks you :)

There are two phases to liver detoxification. You could be sluggish in 1 or both areas.

Above 👆🏾 are some daily habits to slide into your routine. Of course not limited to.

📌 if you have symptoms that your liver isn’t working adequately such as…
- fatigue for no reason
- disrupted sleep especially between 2-4am
- new allergies
- skin issues
- unexplainable weight gain
- indigestion
- loss of libido
- more frequent mood swings

The health and wellness space is vast with an overwhelming amount of info that I'd like to share BUT I follow my feelings and focus on areas that I know and am connected to. I never just pull topics out of a hat.

I never knew my grandmother, Mary Jane. ( my mom's mother) She died of liver disease at a fairly young age.
- Not as much was known about the relationship between alcohol and our liver back then nor was it really discussed especially regarding women! Fast forward to 2021....unless you've been living under a rock then I think you are aware of the connection between alcohol and Cirrhosis of the liver.

- Our livers are a key point of detoxification and they even have their own circulatory system separate from the rest of our body.

🛑 All the toxic substances we eat , drink, inhale and absorb through our skin pass through our livers filtering system. Yes read that again….

- We are indeed made to remove these toxins naturally.... However, we don't necessarily live in a world that is 100 percent kind to our bodies and what we can realistically handle especially if we are drinking or smoking and knowingly interfering with our body's ability to function properly. Therefore interventions and detoxing can often times help support a sluggish system!

It’s back to school time which is
fantastic but it also means more germ exposure for our kid’s and ourselves.
I created this guide so you could easily reference how to use nutrient dense food for vitamins as well as become more mindful of environmental hygiene practices in your home.

Obviously practicing frequent hand washing is key as well as not Re-Using disposable masks. I order multiple boxes and leave one by the door.
