Om Choir L.A. A Community Kirtan Choir

Om Choir L.A. A Community Kirtan Choir Come to our sound healing choir. We start by chanting “Om” and end with a healing sound journey. "Om" is what is called a seed bija.

The vision for this choir comes from the Om Choir founded and conducted by Narad at the Shri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India. It will be a community choir with the community making decisions as to how it evolves. We will start with a vocal warm-up and then begin with the singing of Om in sacred geometric intervals. According to the Mother from the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the singing of Om in

these intervals is important for the healing of the planet. She said that "the new music needs to descend upon the earth and it will start with the chanting of Om in harmony by communities of people." Music with a higher vibration elevates the vibration of the individual as well as the world. It is a sound that carries a very high vibration. The chanting of Om is not a religion and does not require you to believe in God - you only need to believe in the power of sound.
