"Egghead"
-A poem inspired by a dozen of fresh local eggs.
*
When believing I knew everything.
It was very hard to listen.
Too busy defending, while someone else was giving.
Confiding in me, with their thoughts, so precious.
All I could do, was think which words were next up.
I forgive my self for interrupting, someone else's way
To figure out the exact words that they were trying to say.
I felt like an egghead every time the need to argue was chosen.
Until one day, my ignorance had finally broke me open.
My shell became shattered, I lost who I was.
I didn't have a face without a voice and thats because...
We're all racing to what matters, whats right and whats wrong.
& in order to see that way judging will have to be involved.
I've learned a different way to live and feel and see.
It starts with love and it ends with me.
I follow my heart and know the words I hear, can be appreciated apart from any way I'd like to steer.
