The first lavender harvest deserves a little celebration 💜

I couldn't resist tucking a handful of freshly cut Hidcote lavender into this adorable fabric flower holder from Poppin Petals and snapping a photo.

One of my favorite things about small businesses is finding beautiful products made by other creative makers and giving them a place in our farm story.

The scent of fresh lavender is filling the house, harvest season is officially underway, and summer in Palisade is starting to feel real. 🌿

Munstead is one of the culinary lavenders growing quietly in our fields - soft purple blooms warming under the Palisade sun, roots settled deep in our sandy soil.

On harvest mornings, the scent rises as soon as we brush the rows - sweet, herbal, and familiar. This variety truly thrives here, giving us three cuttings last season, each one carrying the story of the summer as the light slowly shifts.

Munstead is cherished as a culinary lavender - gentle enough for teas and kitchen use - and equally loved for the way its aroma invites the body to soften. It’s the kind of lavender that naturally supports the nervous system, encouraging a slower breath and a steadier rhythm.
