Y’all can stick to your “AI” programs lol.

Not worried in the slightest if this is the output they produce. Part of what makes any program/process successful, whether it’s training, building a business, becoming a better artist, etc is asking better questions.

You only know which questions to ask if you have the experience (mistakes) to ask them.

Probably don’t take fitness advice from people that look like this guy, either he really doesn’t want to be ripped or that ultimate six pack shortcut doesn't work 🤡

I’m adamant about this, the reason most people fail to reach their goals in fitness isn’t due to lack of knowledge. I've seen this first hand coaching hundred of clients.

It’s the other things.

Lack of accountability (trouble staying consistent for months or years at a time), working around new and existing injuries, preventable plateaus, cookie cutter programming.

The chat not gives you a week of training. “Anything works at first but nothing works forever.” Arnold wasn’t training the same at the height of his career as he was when he started.

There are a lot of independent variables at play when designing training. You don’t necessarily need a coach, but you do need adjustments in the plan and a way to hold yourself accountable.

Just my opinion. What are your thoughts on AI and training?

Fasting and low carb are inferior nutrition strategies for fat loss.

Carbs should be structured around your activity, this ensures your workouts are better, and if your workouts are better, so are your results.

Carbs also spare protein. The less carbs you have the more you need to dip into protein for energy. No bueno.

The recommendations at the end are broad and generalized. If you're looking for a comprehensive nutrition strategy for your goal, DM Nutrition and we'll chat about setting up a plan.

"You're just weak"

Sounds reductionist, but it really is atleast part of the problem almost every single time. .

The thing you haven't been doing is likely what's holding you back.

Doing the same thing again repeatedly isn't going to work.

How many of y'all can hit an 8RM external rotation with your close grip bench max (40X0 tempo too of course)?

In my almost 10 years of personal training clients I. Person (unlike a lot of "online coaches") I've yet to meet a single person that's demanded to have "fun workouts" and has been able to keep a consistent training routine.

Stop chasing hedonism.

The things that give your life the greatest purpose and meaning are often not "fun".

How low should you squat / is squatting low bad for your knees. Featuring me front squatting with heel elevation with my cheater Eastern European hip sockets and then some of the best squatting videos on the internet.

I recommend using as much range of motion as possible whenever performing any exercise. Yes there are exceptions to any rule. If you’re injured, nursing an injury, or have terrible mobility, then pushing to a range you feel pain in isn’t smart. Otherwise, loading a full range is most beneficial for strength and muscle gains.

Training through larger ranges allows for strength to be developed in those specific joint angles which could in turn help reduce injury. You also tap into more muscle fibers at full ranges. For example, a full range squat will require more of the posterior chain at the bottom of the range than at the top end where it’s predominantly the quads and anterior knee tendons/ligaments taking the brunt of the load.

As you descend into deeper ranges into a squat the force can be distributed through joint surfaces rather than concentrated. It also allows you to improve your mobility through lifting (big bonus) since it’s integrated flexibility (you’re stretching with load on your back, I.e., using a large range of motion) which is usually going to lead to better improvements in flexibility than passive stretching alone.

TLDR: squat lower or build yourself to a point where you can squat low (low is subjective, whatever “low” is for you with good form) to strengthen more muscle groups, address weaknesses, prevent posterior to anterior strength imbalances, undertraining tissues and muscle groups entirely, and improve your mobility in a transferable manner.

Lifting weights faster isn't cardio.

Before you rage in the comments, that doesn't mean circuits or higher rep bodyweight, dumbbell, or kettlebell training is useless.

It just doesn't result in the same changes in your physiology.

Don't know how to select the right bands? Use this method to get a good approximation for how much resistance your bands at the top of your squat.
