🎃 Join me for a Haunted Morning Hike on Palomar Mountain!

We’ll wander the forest, pause for spooky stories, and hear a little local legend and mountain history along the way. Costumes are welcome—just make sure you can hike comfortably in yours! 👻🌲

📅 Friday, October 30
⏰ 8:30–10:00 AM
📍 Meet at the Doane Pond parking lot, Palomar Mountain State Park
🥾 Wear proper hiking shoes and bring water
💚 $20 per person, plus the state park’s $10 parking fee per vehicle

Today was our very first Get Elevated with Jailene hike on Palomar Mountain. 🌲🤍

We slowed down for forest meditation and nature sketching, watched the trees dance and spiderwebs stretch across the meadow, and listened to some very loud, playful squirrels. Even the ducks seemed to be enjoying the sunshine.

My favorite moment was helping one of the women find a tree that felt like it could hug her. Seeing her settle into its branches reminded me why I wanted to share these walks in the first place.

Thank you to the two lovely women who joined me today. I can’t wait to see you next week and watch this little gathering grow. 🍃

Our first Get Elevated with Jailene hike was everything I hoped it would be. 🌲

Two wonderful women joined me—one from here on Palomar Mountain and one from down the mountain. With such a small group, I had the chance to slow down, get to know them, and give each of them the attention they needed.

We shared a beautiful hike, spent time in forest meditation, and paused to sketch what we noticed around us. One moment will stay with me: one of the ladies said she wanted to feel hugged by a tree, instead of being the one to hug it. We took the time to find a tree that felt just right for her. Watching her settle into that moment was something special.

I’m grateful to these two women for sharing the first hike with me. I can’t wait for next week, and I’m excited to see how this little gathering blossoms. 💚
