I simply do not have the bandwidth for tracking calories, keeping up with fad diets, getting into feuds with the neighbors over trivial things. I just can’t do it anymore. And I’d encourage you to question the things you’re giving your time and energy to as well. Are they helping you navigate this new life season?

I know you don’t want to hear it but it’s the truth - change and growth is hard. But in this mid life, you need to put in the work to get the life you’ve always wanted.

Life is too short to keep your thoughts and emotions bottled up like a fine wine that you never drink or offer to anyone. Say what’s been on your mind, speak your truth, and trust that the people you need to say it to can handle it. And if they can’t? That’s not your responsibility. It’s theirs. Their reaction is not your responsibility - a little louder for the ladies in the back. 😉

For all you parents of 2026 graduates — congrats to YOU! You also made it through. And regardless of how you both got there — you and your child got there.

If there is one thing to carry with you today it’s this: you are enough. Just as you are. You are worthy, just as you are. The world is a better place because you exist.

Ladies, give yourself some grace today as you move through this current life season. Be mindful of what your body and soul are telling you. Go slow, go gently, and surrender.

Parents of the graduating class of 2026 - “success” is defined in many different ways. It’s wonderful if your child graduates this year. It’s also okay if they don’t. Or if they discover they still have a few credits left to finish over the summer or fall. Your kid is going to be okay - and they will find joy and fulfillment and success in their lives whether or not they wear a cap and gown this year.
