[Shiseido Aqualabel White Up (Blue) Line- Part 2: Emulsion]
I reviewed the lotion(more like toner) yesterday. Today I am going to review the Shiseido Aqualabel White Up Emulsion II. This is designed for normal-dry skin. I have also bought the Aqualabel White Up Cream which is tailored for dry skin, which I will review in my later post.
Aqualabel is one of Shiseido's cosmetics brand that is sold in Japan. This brand sells three ranges of products, the blue line is for whitening, the red line is for mature skin and the teal blue is for acne-prone skin. The newest addition is the gold line that is formulated with golden royal jelly. There have not been many reviews about this skincare line, therefore I hope I can provide you some insights about this product.
Here is my review of their White Up Emulsion II! I have known this product lines for a couple years, and I love their light texture, yet it is very concentrated and super gentle on the skin. The emulsion moisturizer is packaged in a slightly translucent bottle that it allows you to see the product inside. The White Up Emulsion II feels non-sticky, and has this dewy texture. The instruction on the back says:
"After the lotion, take a 10 yen coin size in the palm or cotton, let it fit the whole face.
Start from a wide part such as cheeks, let's fit the roundness of the face towards the outside from the center of the face, slowly gently adapt to the corners of the face.
When applying to the neck, let it blend from the bottom to the top at the end."
I poured about the size of the nickel (US50cents), and just applied it on my face. This light-textured moisturizer really perk up skin that look dull, and I find that this milky texture is very easy to layer on my skin. It absorbs very well on the skin and feels dewy. It prepares the skin well to apply makeup foundation afterwards. Just like other products in the Aqualabel blue line, this products contains m-tranexamic acid which is supposed to help prevent melanin production as well as being an effective whitening agent. All the products in this line also contain hyaluronic acid which helps retaining water in your skin and is a great moisturizing agent. I have used this emulsion milk in the morning and night for a couple weeks now, and I can tell my skin is plump, hydrated, and more brightened.
Again, this product line is sold in pharmacy stores in Japan, but you can find the Aqualabel White Up Emulsion II on Amazon for around $20-25. It lasts me for 2-3 months.
Repurchase? Likely, in spring/summer season, but I need a little more moisturizing in fall/winter season.
Recommend? Yes! for normal-combination skin
