ADHD and other mental health conditions often travel together.
Symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and binge eating can overlap with ADHD or exist alongside it.
Getting a clear picture helps treatment address the whole person, not just one part of the story.

How many times have you blamed yourself for having "no self-control"?

Maybe it wasn't about discipline.

For some people, binge eating isn't just about food—it may be connected to what's happening in the brain.

Research has found that ADHD and binge eating disorder commonly occur together. ADHD can affect impulse control and reward processing, which may make certain eating patterns more difficult to manage for some people.

If you've ever found yourself wondering:

• "Why can't I stop once I start?"
• "Why do I crave food even when I'm not hungry?"
• "Why have diets never solved the problem?"

It may be time to look beyond willpower.

Understanding the why behind your eating habits can be the first step toward finding the right support.

Disclaimer: Not everyone with binge eating has ADHD, and not everyone with ADHD experiences binge eating. Only a qualified healthcare professional can diagnose ADHD or binge eating disorder.

Thinking about starting Minoxidil? Read this first.
Minoxidil is one of the most commonly used treatments for certain types of hair loss—but it's important to know what to expect.
✔️ Results take time and often require consistent use.
✔️ Some people may notice temporary shedding early in treatment.
✔️ It's not the right option for everyone.
✔️ The best treatment depends on the cause of your hair loss.
That's why a proper medical evaluation is the first step. Understanding the underlying cause helps determine whether Minoxidil—or another treatment—is appropriate for you.
At Siya Health®, we believe informed decisions lead to better outcomes.

We spend years thinking about the number on the scale. But there’s another number worth thinking about: **how strong will you be 10, 20, or 30 years from now?**

Muscle isn’t just about looking toned. As we age, maintaining muscle helps support:

💪 Strength for everyday movement
🚶 Mobility and balance
🏡 Independence later in life
🔥 Metabolic health
❤️ The ability to keep doing the things you love

Think carrying your own groceries. Getting up from the floor. Traveling without worrying about your strength. Staying active as life changes.

The goal isn’t to become the strongest person in the room.

It’s to build enough strength today that **future you has more freedom tomorrow.**

Your muscles are an investment in the life you want to keep living.

📌 Save this as your reminder to prioritize strength—not just the scale.

**What’s one thing you want your body to still be able to do at 70?**

This isn't just Sarah's story.
It's the story many women have quietly lived for years.
Being called "lazy."
Feeling like they're always falling behind.
Working twice as hard just to keep up.
Blaming themselves for struggles they couldn't explain.
Understanding ADHD doesn't change who you are.
It changes how you understand yourself.
And sometimes, that changes everything.
💜 Sarah is a fictional character created to represent the real experiences many women have shared.

"I know I'm tired... but why can't I think clearly?"
Many people associate iron deficiency with feeling physically exhausted.
But your brain depends on iron too.

Low iron levels have been linked to:
🧠 Brain fog
🎯 Difficulty concentrating
📝 Poor working memory
⚡ Slower thinking
🧩 Executive dysfunction

One study found that women with iron-deficiency anemia were much more likely to meet criteria for adult ADHD than women without iron deficiency.
That doesn't mean iron deficiency causes ADHD.
But it does remind us of something important:
Sometimes symptoms that feel neurological may have a medical contributor that's easy to miss.
This is especially relevant for women with heavy menstrual bleeding, one of the most common causes of iron deficiency during the reproductive years.
The encouraging part?
Iron deficiency is measurable.
Ferritin testing is inexpensive.
And if iron deficiency is present, it's often treatable.
Sometimes improving how your brain feels starts with looking beyond the brain.
❤️ At Siya Health, we believe the best care starts by understanding the whole person, not just one symptom.

For some people, binge eating isn't simply about hunger or a lack of willpower.

Research has found that ADHD and binge eating commonly occur together. One possible reason is that ADHD can affect impulse control, reward processing, and executive functioning, making it harder for some people to regulate eating patterns.

That doesn't mean everyone who binge eats has ADHD.

But if every diet, meal plan, or "fresh start" ends the same way, it may be worth asking a different question.

What if you've been treating the symptom... instead of understanding the cause?

You deserve answers, not self-blame.

💜 If this story felt familiar, send us a DM or book a physician-led ADHD evaluation to learn whether ADHD could be part of your story.

If you've tried every diet but still find yourself binge eating, it might be time to ask a different question.

Not just "What am I eating?"
But "Why is this happening?"

Binge eating is a complex behavior with many possible contributing factors, including emotional health, sleep, stress, metabolic conditions, and, for some people, ADHD.

Research shows that ADHD and binge eating frequently occur together. Difficulties with executive functioning, impulse control, and reward processing can make it harder to resist highly rewarding foods.
Many people with ADHD also describe experiencing persistent "food noise" or frequent thoughts about eating.
That's why lasting improvement often starts with understanding the root cause rather than relying on willpower alone.

Here are five practical steps that may help:
✔ Shop mindfully and avoid trigger foods
✔ Prepare meals ahead of time
✔ Reduce easy access to food delivery apps
✔ Get your blood sugar and insulin levels checked if appropriate
✔ Consider a comprehensive physician evaluation to explore possible underlying causes, including ADHD

For some people diagnosed with ADHD, appropriate treatment may reduce impulsive eating and food-related preoccupation. However, medication is not appropriate for everyone, and only a qualified healthcare professional can determine the right approach after a thorough evaluation.
