Adventures in Embroidery!

I offered to make Four Horsemen belt flags for Armageddon because I think it's important to have the most serious team tournament at the national event. And I think it's equally important to have belt flag prizes ready before the competition.

Embroidery is difficult and time consuming. My thread tension was tricky. My needle broke! Here's some tips to solving these problems:

> use a fresh size 14 Embroidery needle
> loosen the top thread tension if the bobbin color is showing on the top
> trace design to see the placement of the image
> use pre-wound bobbins- its worth it!
> iron on parchment paper is a cheap and easy backing
> add quality stabilizer under the hoop to improve the appearance of column stitches
> Always, make a sacrificial test embroidery first.
> also, hemingworth is the easiest use embroidery thread!!!

Great News! Gorg the Blacksmith is donating Meme Weapons for Prizes for the 2v2 and 7v7 team tournaments happening Saturday at Armageddon this year. 🏆 Foam Fighting is FUN... and so are these silly weapons!

These are meme Weapons: May the tournament winners hang them on their wall... but never bring them to the field.

ALPHA&OMEGA 2v2s Rules:
Best 2 out of 3. 1 fighter of 2 years or less (Anytime after Armageddon XXI) and 1 fighter of 2 years or more (Before Armageddon XXI). All weapons that passed at weapons check that morning will be allowed with the exception of white (Class 5) and yellow (Class 4) weapons. Any changes will be left to the marshals’ discretion.

SQUAD GAMES 7v7s Rules:
7 players, Max 3 Archers per team and max 12 arrows per team. No armor will be allowed. Helmets may be worn as protective gear but will not count as armor.
Three Node Capture- Most points at the end wins. Nodes will be designated by a post you must place into a cone. The posts will have colors on either side representing either team.
To capture a node, a player must flip the post. Point of control capture must be finished once started, unless killed in action. If you die during the swap, drop the post where you stand; Control becomes neutral.
Score taken every 2 minutes and end of game. End of game control is worth double.
In the event of a tie, whichever side controls the center point will be declared winner.
Players will have a 5 second respawn; count will be out loud and monitored by a marshal.
Tournament structure: Single elimination, 5 minute timed rounds. Best of 1
