Father’s Day is a complicated day for me, but it’s also a deeply healing one. Growing up without my biological father, I’ve spent a lot of time defining what that role actually means. For me, the answer is simple: it’s my Pappy. He raised me from the time I was a week old, and he was my father not because of any obligation, but because he chose to be. He showed up, he wanted me, and he loved me my entire life.
To my Pappy: thank you for choosing to be my everything. Father’s Day will never be the same—much like the rest of my life will never be the same without you. I’m learning that while change can be a beautiful thing, it can also be a painful one.
While my own history is complex, watching my children with their fathers brings me a different kind of peace. I’m sharing this quick piece I drew—a snapshot of a moment between my youngest son and his dad that reminded me that love shows up in many different ways. Even when relationships are complicated, seeing that bond is a part of my own healing process.
Happy Father’s Day to the two men my kids call dad and all the dads who choose to show up for their kids every day. 💙

As you know, I typically share my art here & post almost daily. However, yesterday I lost my Pap. He was the man who raised me since I was 7 days old, and the namesake of my firstborn son. I need some time away to process this, but I promise I will return as soon as I can.

Thank you all so much for the love and support you've shown me on my art journey. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding while I take time to grieve such an incredibly important person in my life. Please don’t forget about me—I will be back, you have my word! ❤️

Alright, this is a total shot in the dark, but we’re taking it anyway. 🎯
Unless there is a hidden business, digital marketing, or entrepreneurship student lurking on my friends list that I don’t know about, the likelihood of finding what I need here is about 1%. But hey, stranger things have happened!

Right now, I am the literal definition of a struggling artist. That means I have $0 for upfront payments or fancy incentives. BUT, what I do have is a massive vault of raw creative skill. I can do pretty much anything, with anything, on anything. I’ve got the skill to pay the bills, I just don't have the business brain to get it out there. 🎨✨
