What in the sweet potato!!!

Summers in AZ are brutal so I didn’t spend much time (or any😂) in my garden. I let my garden go this summer and sweet potatoes took over!! I’m cleaning my garden up today and found this gigantic sweet potato! 😮

Since so many of you asked about the chuck from my last video… 👀 Here’s the exact one I use! And while we’re here, these are the absorbent pads + shampoo I buy for the boys too. 😂

Sunday reset as a special needs mom. 🧺☕️

Because being strong isn’t always about the workout, the heavy weights, or the muscles you can see. Sometimes strength looks like resetting your home, taking care of your family, taking a breath, and finding a little space to take care of yourself, too.

Their Muscles are more than physical. They’re the strength we build to keep showing up. 💪🏼❤️

Here’s to a fresh week. ✨

Sometimes life happens. 💚

I got sick, my workouts took a backseat, and that’s okay. The important part isn’t never having setbacks, it’s remembering that you can always come back.

Today I’m back to my workouts, taking it one day at a time and giving myself grace in the process.

You don’t lose all your progress because you had a few off days. You don’t have to “start over.” You just pick yourself back up and keep going. 🫶🏻

Setbacks are part of the journey. Keep going. 💪🏻

My youngest and I caught Covid the beginning of September/end of August. With DMD a common cold can trigger pneumonia because it gets very hard to cough when your muscles that are supposed to help you cough don’t work well. Thankfully no pneumonia!! But the congestion that we had has held on for dear life. We’re finally almost back to 100! We’ve been trying to get into the fall/halloween spirt! It’s our favorite time of the year! Here’s some cute prints we made with our 3-d printer! 💪🏻👻🎃

Sometimes life says HOLD UP!
No working out for me, I’m sick with Covid and my body said FULL STOP.

And if I'm being honest I have a really high anxiety level around being sick because I'm scared of my DMD children getting it. I think a lot of parents with medically complex children can relate.
