Bella officially graduated from board and train today, and I am beyond proud of her! 🐾🎓✨

Watching Bella’s growth throughout this process has been incredible. She came in dealing with real nervousness and uncertainty, and she is leaving with so much more confidence in herself and the world around her. 🐕 But training was only one part of her story here.

Bella also had a blast along the way. She made new friends, soaked up playtime, and got to just be a dog while she worked hard behind the scenes. That balance is exactly what helps dogs thrive during their time here. 💜

Bailey put in some serious work on her duration down on place! 👏🐾

This is real staying power, holding a solid down for extended periods, not just a few seconds. Partway through, she broke position, and instead of that being a setback, it became one of the best teaching moments of the session. Those slip ups are where the real learning happens. 🐕

And here’s something owners (and trainers) forget. Field trips are exciting, but dogs spend most of their life at home, so house manners matter just as much, if not more, than anything we do out in public. 💜 I train for realistic dog ownership, not flashy training videos. A dog who can hold place while you cook dinner or answer the door brings real peace into your home.

Bailey proved how capable she is, and watching her build this kind of patience and self control is exactly what good training is all about. ✨

Bella is working on something so important this week, her car manners. 🚙🐾

Car manners are not just about looking polished, they are a real safety skill. This starts before the car door even opens. Every dog that rides with me is kenneled in the vehicle for their safety, and that structure carries right into how they load and unload too. 🐕🚗

Bella is learning to approach the car calmly, sit, and wait for permission before loading up, and it works the same way in reverse. When she comes out, she automatically sits and holds that position until she is given the next direction. It might seem small, but a dog that waits instead of bursting out of a car is a dog who stays safe in a parking lot instead of bolting toward traffic or pulling away and getting hurt. ⚠️

Bella has been putting in real work on this, and watching her hold that stillness and self control is exactly the kind of progress that matters most. 💜

Bailey’s field trip to The Home Depot was a great one! 🐾🟧

We worked on Bailey’s heel command in a brand new environment, full of new smells, sounds, and plenty of people moving around, and she handled it like a pro. 🐕

Bailey stayed locked in beside me for most of the trip, no pulling, no getting distracted by everything going on around her. She did get spooked at one point when some wood fell in the aisle over, which is a completely normal reaction in a new place like this. Bailey did great with how quickly she recovered, refocused on me and got right back into her heel within moments. ✨ That kind of quick recovery in a 7 month old puppy still early in her training says a lot about the trust she is building.

Watching Bailey grow into this kind of confidence and control is exactly what board and train is all about, and I could not be prouder of how far she has already come. 💜

Bella's first field trip was a huge win today! 🐾👏😊

Bella can get really nervous in unfamiliar situations. Her go to move is usually slamming on the brakes and trying to bolt the other way. So heading to the store At Home was a real test for Bella, and she completely surprised me. 🐕

Not a single moment of freezing up or trying to run from Bella today. Instead she was curious, checking out everything around her, and even made a new friend along the way. Bella followed my lead through the entire trip and trusted that I had her, and that trust is everything with a dog like her. 💜

This is exactly the kind of progress we are working toward every single day, building Bella's confidence and helping her nervous system learn how to actually settle in situations that used to send her into panic mode. Watching her handle today the way she did means everything!

Is it a case of the Mondays, or just some very happy napping pups? 😴🐾

This is what our board and train actually looks like around here. Couches, rugs, cozy corners of the living room, dogs sprawled out wherever they feel like it. Nobody is stuck in a kennel counting down the minutes. 💜

Our board and train here is not just about the work. It is about dogs feeling comfortable enough to fully relax in a real home, because that only happens when they are treated like family and not just a client. That is the standard I hold myself to every single day. 🐕

We don’t usually take a group photo like this until the end of a training class, but today the sky gave us the perfect cloudy morning and we have so many good friends here at once, so we had to take advantage of it! 🐾📸🌦️

Bailey and Bella deserve a special shoutout in this one. It is only their second day of training, and they followed right along with everything the other dogs were doing like total pros. That kind of quick adjustment says a lot about both of them! 💜

Getting a group this size to sit still together on the pyramid never gets old for me. It is one of my favorite shots to capture, and every time we pull it off it feels like a little celebration of this pack. 🐕✨

Next up in our August class is Bailey, a 7 month old English Golden Retriever ready to get her manners and obedience on track! 🐾☀️

Bailey has some big shoes to fill. I trained her brother Duke nine years ago, and let's just say he set the bar high. But she's already showing me so much potential, and I know she's going to do great! 🐕✨

We're diving into the fundamentals with Bailey, building solid obedience and manners that will set her up for a lifetime of good behavior. There's something really special about getting to work with a second dog from the same family, it's a full circle moment. 💜

Bailey is ready, and I'm so glad she's here! I can't wait for her family to see everything she's capable of. 🌻🐾😊

Say hello to Bella, our first pup of the August board and train class! 👋🥰

Bella is an 18 month old terrier mix who is starting her journey with us today, and I could not be more excited for what’s ahead. 🐕 She’s a girl with a lot of insecurities and uncertainty about the world around her, and that is exactly what we’re here to work through.

Over the next few weeks, we’re not just working on basic obedience commands like sit, down, and heel, we’re going deeper than that. We’re helping Bella’s nervous system learn how to actually regulate, so she can feel calm and confident in situations that used to overwhelm her. 💜 Confidence built from the inside out is confidence that lasts.

Bella is doing our Weekday Board and Train, so she’ll be with me Monday through Friday learning and growing, then head home on weekends where her parents get to practice everything with her. That partnership between us is what makes this program so powerful. 🏡

I cannot wait to watch and share Bella’s transformation over these next three weeks. Let’s get to work! 🌟
