Hands-Only CPR can save a life — and you don’t have to be a medical professional to help.

If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, become unresponsive, and is not breathing or only gasping — this could be cardiac arrest, overdose, or suspected drug-related emergency.

Purpose of Hands-Only CPR:
Hands-Only CPR keeps blood flowing to the brain and vital organs until emergency professionals arrive. When the heart stops, every second matters. Immediate chest compressions can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival.

How to Perform Hands-Only CPR:
1. Call 911.
2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest.
3. Compress at a rate of 100–120 beats per minute.
4. Continue until help arrives.

Prevention & Awareness (Especially for Suspected Drug Use/Overdose):
• Don’t leave someone alone if they are extremely drowsy or unconscious.
• Call 911 immediately.
• If available, administer Narcan (Naloxone).
• Start Hands-Only CPR if they are not breathing.
• Stay until help arrives.

You don’t have to be certified to save a life — but training gives you the confidence to act when it matters most.
