Finally back home after 2 back-to-back weeks of business travel to NOLA for the NAAIA National Conference and then KS.

On this rainy Saturday in NJ I was working to catch up on my actual work and came across 2 separate emails from BLOOM MAGAZINE letting me know that I'd been nominated for 2 awards - 2024 Leader of the Year and 2024 Influencer of the year.

Honored, humbled and grateful was the flood of emotions I felt. You see I am the only woman of color at my level in my company. So more often, than not it seems there's a concerted effort to dim my light, shut me up and discount my intellect.

Those who "really" know me know that's not going to happen as long as I am able to breathe and have all of my faculties about me.

So, it excites me to know that my efforts to be a good human being, a leader that I "wished" for when I was coming up and an encourager to those who are in my sphere of influence hasn't gone unnoticed.

Thank you BLOOM MAGAZINE for recognizing and acknowledging my efforts. I appreciate you!!
