Attending a yoga retreat in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica was truly life-changing for me.

I remember sitting in meditation, listening to the monkeys call to one another and the birds singing through the jungle canopy. For the first time in what felt like forever, I exhaled.

It had been the hardest year of my life. Caring for two parents with dementia was HEAVY. Stressful. Transformational in ways I wasn’t ready for. I knew deep down I needed a break — not just a vacation, but a reset for my nervous system, my heart, my soul.

When the opportunity to go to Costa Rica appeared, I didn’t overthink it. I said yes. My soul was crying out for rest. And in that moment — surrounded by jungle and ocean — everything made sense.

Sometimes we have to step away from our responsibilities, our roles, our constant doing… to remember who we are underneath it all.

I came home different. Clearer. Lighter. Stronger.
And I never looked back.

That experience is exactly why Selva Soul Retreats was born 🌿✨
