Tango Therapy Project

Tango Therapy Project We aim to provide therapeutic benefit, improve quality of life, spark joy, and promote social connection through Argentine tango.

There is a robust body of scientific research demonstrating tango’s unique benefits for people with Parkinson's Disease (PD), as well as older individuals and people affected by other motor and neurological disorders, and mental and physical conditions. We aim to share these benefits more widely by bringing adapted tango programs to people who might not otherwise experience this unique art form.

We’re excited to be part of the Philadelphia Fall Arts Fest at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m!

Stop by the Tango Therapy Project table to meet our team, learn about our adapted tango classes and volunteer opportunities, and celebrate the ways music, movement, and connection bring people together.

Join us for our 15-minute adapted tango performance starting around 1:45pm. TTP instructors Sarah Chung and Damian Lobato will perform, along with one of our participants dancing with a TTP volunteer!

The festival is free, but RSVP is required. Reserve your spot through the QR code on the flyer or at:
