I am a solar Virgo, with a Sagittarius moon and Cancer ascendant. In 2008, during my nodal return, I was led to Western astrology after a midlife crisis of epic proportions.

I hated my job; my marriage was for all intents and purposes, over; and I wanted desperately to understand why I was making the choices I was making. At the time, I was living in the New York City area, but I sought out a private teacher, a Philadelphia-based master astrologer with over 25 years of teaching, writing and consultative experience, who could equip me with the tools I so greatly needed to turn my life around. After I began an intense self-directed study of Western astrology, I was advised to add tarot to my studies, the practice of which greatly enhanced my ability to connect with and trust my intuition. After five years, I began reading natal charts for friends and family and a select group of clients, which strengthened my consultative skills and boosted my self-confidence. Now I feel that I’m being called to expand my practice to a larger community, during a time of marked energetic shifts that are really pushing us to evolve and let go of hindering thoughts, beliefs and attitudes. If I could sum up my practice in a few words, I would say that I offer intuitive astrology for humans who really want to grow. �

2025 marks a new chapter in my Chironic journey. This year, transit Chiron in Aries has been challenging me to confront and integrate the lessons of my return in real time. From January through March, Chiron sextiled my natal Saturn in Gemini, inviting careful reflection and disciplined effort. By spring, Chiron squared my North Node and made an inconjunct to my Virgo Sun, highlighting the tension between my growth path and my daily practices.

The summer months brought the intensity of Chiron squaring my Cancer Ascendant, a transit that asked me to reckon with personal boundaries, public presence, and the ways I show up in the world. This period of retrograde Chiron through October inspired the creation of a 6-part series reflecting on the lessons I’ve learned since 2018 and 2020, distilling the raw experiences of my Chiron return into practical insights and guidance.

As the year closes, Chiron continues to challenge and illuminate, squaring my North Node and forming an inconjunct to my Virgo Sun, reminding me that growth is a process, not a destination. This moment is both reflective and generative — a time to share, teach, and integrate what has been learned, while staying open to the surprises still ahead.

Follow along as I share a 6-part series reflecting on the lessons learned from my Chiron return — insights drawn from my original 2018 and 2020 reflections, revisited in the light of 2025.

2022–2024: The Chiron Return Years

Between 2022 and 2024, my Chiron return unfolded slowly — less like a lightning strike and more like a deep, rhythmic pulse that wouldn’t let me ignore what still needed tending. Every pass of transit Chiron over my natal Chiron reactivated an old mystic rectangle in my chart: Saturn in Gemini, Uranus in Libra, and the Moon in Sagittarius — a configuration that has always demanded both expression and integration.

In 2022, those energies stirred as I began pitching the idea for an exhibit drawn from the years I spent photographing the Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival in Germantown.

By 2023, that exhibit had opened — right as Chiron retrograded back across my Midheaven — and Compositions of Black Joy, my first photography book, was born from the same current of reckoning and renewal.

By early 2024, Chiron made its final exact conjunction to my natal Chiron — and something softened. I was deep in the COBJ manuscript, but another project began to whisper: Healing Began With Five Words. That period carried a quiet assurance — a sense that all the fragments from the past decade were finally weaving themselves into a story that made sense.

This three-year return wasn’t about sudden breakthroughs. It was about trusting slow magic — the kind that builds layer by layer until you realize you’ve stepped into a fuller version of yourself.

✨ Public Reckonings & Chiron Lessons ✨

Looking back, it’s impossible not to see the pattern: each exact hit of my Chiron return coincided with a public reckoning — sometimes dramatic, but alway deeply revealing.

With Chiron in Aries sitting high in my tenth house, my lessons were never meant to stay private. They played out in the open — through projects, exhibits, and books that carried my healing into the world.

Aries demanded that I claim my voice; the tenth house required that I do it publicly. Every time transit Chiron crossed that point, it reawakened the question of how to lead with vulnerability, how to use visibility as medicine. And because those transits kept activating my natal mystic rectangle — Saturn in Gemini, Uranus in Libra, Moon in Sagittarius — the work wasn’t just mine to process. It was meant to ripple outward, teaching through story, collaboration, and the courage to be seen in the act of becoming.

These public reckonings weren’t isolated moments — they were part of a three-year arc, a layered choreography of transit and growth that would culminate in the work I’m revisiting now. Stay tuned for where I landed in 2025, and what's coming!
