Full Living Find a PA therapist who truly fits
Ketamine Group Retreats
KAP Training + education for therapists Full Living is led by Karen L.

Full Living is a psychotherapy practice rooted in thoughtful care, clinical depth, and guided support. We specialize in director-led therapy matching, helping individuals find a therapist who truly fits their needs, goals, and preferences. Instead of navigating endless directories alone, our very human director helps you figure out a good move for your healing journey. In addition to therapy match

ing, Full Living offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals who feel stuck or are seeking deeper therapeutic work. Our KAP offerings are grounded in preparation, integration, and ethical clinical care; including our group retreat, *Becoming Your Own Ally*. We also provide training and education for therapists, supporting clinicians as they begin the journey to onboard KAP into their practices, and then to continue to thoughtfully explore and deepen their understanding of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy within a psychotherapeutic framework. Smith MSS, LCSW, a seasoned psychotherapist with decades of clinical experience. Karen personally facilitates the matching process and oversees all therapeutic offerings, ensuring care is thoughtful, well-paced, and deeply aligned with each individual’s needs. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy has generated a lot of interest, a lot of hope, and tons of questions. But it definitely has an identity issue. It really isn't just for woo woo therapists and hippies dancing in groups in the woods while banging on drums. I mean, great stuff, but also, serious clinicians are weaving these medicines into the consulting room.

Come hear how we use this medicine to facilitate change in analytically informed psychotherapy. If Sigmund Freud, Melanie Klein or Wilfred Bion had ketamine available for work with clients, they would definitely have tried this tool.

I'll be presenting at Profs & Pints Philadelphia on June 28 4pm to 6 Pm for a conversation about how we use ketamine-assisted psychotherapy to further analytic aims associated with these 3 theorists.

Come to learn about KAP, or analytic theroy, or just a great beer.

It will likely take you some time, making sure you are safe with us. But as therapy unfolds, you can stop hustling to be liked/ understood/ respected. You can start to set aside pretense. You can be tedious, boring, whiny, irritating to be with. We don't have to enjoy you. We aren't there to be entertained or for a social outing. We are at work and we are hard workers. You don't have to present a false self.

This is one of the things a serious therapist is always building toward. Not just relief from what brought you in. But a lived experience of engaging a relationship where you can be messy, and that isnt going to stop us from helping you.

Whatever brings you into therapy, we are going to be there to help you. But we are also always tracking developmental glitches and missing capacties — the foundational emotional capacities that, when developed, change not just the presenting issue but the whole texture of a life.

The regular rhythm of life makes couples therapy hard to prioritize. Work, kids, schedules, the general chaos of keeping everything moving. It is easy to keep putting it off.

Summer disrupts that rhythm. And disruption, when you use it intentionally, is an opportunity.

When the schedule loosens, long weekends open up, and the pace slows even slightly — that is actually a good time to turn toward each other. To use the extra breathing room to have the conversations you have been avoiding. To practice something different in the moments that a holiday weekend or a slow Sunday actually provides.

Couples therapy in the summer isn't just weekly sessions. It's using the specific texture of summer — the trips, the long evenings, the breaks from routine — as material for the work.

If you and your partner have been thinking about doing a real piece of couples work, this is a good time to start.

At Full Living, a free 15-minute call with me gets you matched with the right therapist for your relationship. It may be with me or with one of my fab therapists. In-person, virtual, or hybrid across Philadelphia.

Psychedelic assisted psychotherapy isn't a chance for you to dance around naked in the woods looking for fairies. It really is just therapy. Assisted.

KAP is great for looks of folx, but the main client we see if the one who has been digently doing their work on themselves for years, but are stuck, of just not seeing the kind of traction they deserve. Ketamine can help.

Start with a quick google form to assess candidacy. Link in the bio.

At-home solo medicine journeys are a frequently engaged frame for ketamine assisted psychotherapy. Sometimes we facilitate medicine sessions with you in our offices, sometimes in retreat or group settings, sometimes virtually. But also, a lot of our work includes some clients using the medicine at home, on their own.

This is an opportunity to have help creating your set and setting for your solo journey to commune with your inner healer. We will use the group to build intentionality, to settle each of you in your bodies, and open the commune between you and your inner healer.
Nothing cultivates a mood quite like a group experience. In this drop-in virtual group, we will breathe together, curate intentions, and awaken the inner healer — and then you take all of that into your own solo, at-home medicine session immediately following, or later in the week.

This group is for folx already approved for and comfortable with unmonitored at-home ketamine use. If you're not there yet and want to explore KAP, reach out — I can help connect you with prescribers, therapists, groups, resources, and retreats.
Every other Tuesday with Our June groups on the 9th and 23rd. 6:30–8:00 PM. Drop-in. $60.
DM me or email [email protected] to make sure it's a good fit before joining.

Clients and clinicians alike often come to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with big hopes.

Sometimes it can be transformative. Sometimes it can be disappointing. Most often, the truth is more nuanced than either extreme.

One of the most important parts of preparing for KAP is having an honest conversation about what this treatment can—and cannot—reasonably be expected to do.

I recently recorded a short video exploring those questions: the promise, the limitations, and the realities of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for both clients and clinicians.

For clinicians considering KAP as a treatment model, it also offers a chance to get a feel for how I think about this work before investing in more extensive training, consultation, or supervision.

This is the one we take most seriously.

The most common reason therapy doesn't work is not that therapy doesn't work. It's that the match was wrong. The approach was wrong. The fit between how that therapist worked and how that particular person processes — wrong.

Before you write it off, let's talk about what happened. There is usually a lot of useful information in a therapy that didn't work.

You come with real information about what you need. A skilled matchmaker knows how to use it. At Full Living, the matching call is a real conversation — not a form, not a quiz. Thirty years of clinical experience and genuine knowledge of every therapist on our team, put to work for you.

Free 15-minute call. Most people matched within two days. In-person, virtual, or hybrid across Philadelphia.

So the thing is, you are wrong.

Tons of the time. Multiple times a day. Why is that a huge deal? Who cares? Do you know other people who aren't wrong multiple times a day? I don’t and I know some seriously fabulous and savvy people. But they are still routinely wrong. As am I.

Admitting you're wrong is one of the most basic and underrated relational skills there is. Right up there with easy apologies.
