A lost pet’s sense of smell is incredibly powerful. By creating scent trails with unwashed items that smell like you and your home, you may help guide them back.

✔️ Use unwashed clothing, towels, bedding, and your pet’s bedding or litterbox.

✔️ Place scent items from the lost location toward your home using the “wagon wheel” method.

✔️ Keep fresh water and bedding outside where you can monitor the area with a camera.

Every lost pet situation is different, but scenting is a simple, safe technique that can make a difference.

This is a friendly, informative reminder to monitor your dog's weight. It is especially important for large and giant breeds to stay slim. When they are overweight, it puts undue pressure on joints that are already prone to arthritis and injury, causing pain and immobility. Treats and food are not love; we have the power to give them the most healthy life possible. You may be struggling to adjust your dog's weight on either end of the spectrum. There are many tips and methods to get them to their ideal body score. You may be doing everything right, and your dog is still underweight or overweight. In that case, it is time to consult your veterinarian to see if there is a medical reason behind excessive weight loss or weight gain. Also, some dogs are naturally thin, especially if they are very active, just like humans. Again, consult your vet to be sure that they are at a good weight.
