For most of my adult life I lived from the neck up, planning, leading, crossing things off my list, and somewhere in all that doing, the feminine in me receded. Not gone. Just quiet, waiting for something to call it back.
A friend handed me a book after we talked about reclaiming this, about what I’d been missing. The second I opened it, something in me caught fire again.
My session this week took me straight into it, surrender, softness, the sacred, creativity, aliveness, what it feels like to receive instead of produce, and I left it slower. Noticing beauty around me like when the clouds change color at sunset or the breeze on my skin and moving the way my body actually wants to move instead of the way I’ve been telling it to.
I’m finding a version of myself I’d forgotten I had access to. Centered lower than my head, rooted in the remembrance of the feminine deep within me and not in who the last twenty years trained me to be.
If you’ve spent your life planning, doing, achieving and feel something softer underneath asking to be let in, that’s life inviting you into your next layer.
