Heading to Luke AFB for my follow up appointment with the Commander. Will discuss return to work at Arrowhead and screening for Valley Fever as recommended by the CDC. Valley Fever is endemic in the SW US. Amazing more people aren't being screened, diagnosed and treated.

I’m from the hospital and back to twice daily hydrotherapy sessions. Big day at the base tomorrow.

The fungus that causes Valley fever is found in hot, dry environments. As the climate warms, scientists project its range will expand.

Valley fever, caused by the fungus Coccidioides, affects people of all backgrounds, but it’s particularly prevalent among minority populations, including Native American communities like those in Sells, Arizona.

John Galgiani, MD, director of the Valley Fever Center for Excellence says it’s crucial to raise awareness about Valley fever, its symptoms, and its impact on different demographics to ensure better outcomes, as the disease is on the rise.

Cardiology appointment this morning. Scott and I are taking Plague '24 in to see this specialist for my bronchitis symptoms that just will not abate. Be gone Plague '24.
