“Today, a kind of plateau point of view has burst upon humankind.
The world is rumbling and erupting in ever-widening circles around us. The tensions, conflicts, anxiety, and sufferings, even in the outermost circle, touch a song and reverberate in all of us; we cannot avoid these vibrations. But just how far can we implement this planet of awareness?
We are asked today to feel compassionately for everyone in the world, to digest intellectually all the information spread out in public print, and to implement in every action, ethical impulses aroused by our hearts and minds.
The interrelatedness of the world links us constantly with more people than our hearts can hold. Or rather, for I believe, the heart is infinite, modern communication loads us with more problems than the human frame can carry.
I think it is good for our hearts and our minds, our imaginations to be stretched, but body, nerve, endurance, and lifespan are not as elastic.
My life cannot implement in action the demands of all the people to whom my heart responds.
Faced with this dilemma, what can we do?”
Gosh! I wish I’d written that!
Actually, that is from a “Gift From the Sea”, a book by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, which was first published in 1906!
Interesting, do you agree, the way Ms. Lindberg described her experience in the world in 1906 sounds quite a lot like what we’re going through today, doesn’t it?
It’s a great book. I highly recommend it. I just discovered it. I was sitting in my office as youth program director at First Unity in St. Petersburg, Florida. I scanned the books on my shelf for some ideas about Peace. I had pulled out two other books from the shelf, and her book dropped right out from between them.
Now you know that is one of those synchronicities we experience when we are in alignment, right?
On top of that, I opened it to the page I just read to you, so I knew that was the way to begin this writing.
What can we do?
First, let’s look at who we are, then how we BE, then what we can do.
Who are we?
The second Unity principle provides us with an illustrious description of who we are.
“God is individualized in each person as the Christ Consciousness”, or as the children put it, which I prefer, is simply…
“I AM”,
Sure, you understand that you have a physical body that allows you to function as a human being. You know that you are a spiritual being having this physical human being experience. You know that your physical body carries the very essence and power of love.
But did you know that it is that Supreme Love that makes up your metaphysical light body? Did you know that your physical body has actual membranes within the physical brain which “line up” to act as the receivership of Divine Wisdom?
When one lives in faith of a Creative Source, a Higher Power, God… and in a Divine Plan, the highest of Divine Wisdom is something like “magnetized” to plasmic membranes within the brain that act as receivers of Universal Divine Light and Divine Wisdom so that it may be absorbed by your consciousness and the consciousness of humankind, and then expressed outwardly through our physicality as we move through life in this incarnation in this world.
This is what I now know occurred when I experienced my primary spontaneous awakening in 1991 at the end of an abusive, alcoholic, co-dependent 20-year marriage. I was a dancer, but could not dance. I was walking with a cane. I could not raise my left arm above my shoulder. I had emotionally frozen the left side of my body, the feminine energy side, the receiving side, because what I had been receiving in my marriage I perceived as life-threatening.
It was Palm Sunday. I was at Mass at our neighborhood Catholic Church, where I attended faithfully. I was attempting to stand, in pain, while the gospel was being read, telling the story of when Jesus rode into Jerusalem triumphantly until he died on the cross. For the 38th year of my life, I heard the words, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Suddenly, I felt an explosion of light in my chest! In a nano-second, I was shown everything that ever was and everything that ever will be, and then SNAP, I was back in the NOW moment, the present. Someplace I rarely lived! From that time on, I have been on a consciously aware spiritual journey.
Yeshua ben Yusef, Jesus, the Christed One, understood this concept of be-ing as Divine Light, Divine Wisdom, and Divine Love. He acknowledged his Oneness with All that Is. Therefore, he was able to tap into the all-knowing, all-loving, all-powerful, ever-present Creative Source. By continually showing up as an extension of Source Energy, Jesus was able to manifest miracles during his time as a physical being on earth. Jesus embodied the fullest expression of God. He is the example, not the exception.
And he told his apostles and all of humankind in JOHN chapter 14 verse 12:
“ Very truly I tell you, whoever believes will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.”
YES! Even Greater!
We can also be Christed. It is a complete awareness and immersion in the totality of All That Is.
Thank goodness, in the times we are living now, more and more people are awakening to the knowledge that they are also the full expression of Source.
As Spirit ourselves, stuffed into these, what I call, human-being outfits, we emBODY (capital B O D Y!) the Divine aspects of Creator Source, God, the Universe, ALL THAT IS!
What are those aspects? If you were brought up in our Judeo-Christian culture, you may recall learning the aspects of God being:
â—Ź omnipotence (being all-powerful),
â—Ź omni-benevolence (all-loving, being wholly morally good), omniscience (being all-knowing), and
â—Ź Omnipresent (ever present).
Along with these aspects, you may have come to understand that God is:
â—Ź immutable (God does not change), and
â—Ź eternal or everlasting existence (God exists at all times or outside of time). Therefore, so do we.
Because each one of us also has all of those aspects within us.
I know, I know, we all get caught up and lose energy to the chaos of what’s happening with our lives, families, friends, work, community, government, and the world. Especially over the past
I know that when I was shown all that was and will be… when I realized that God’s time is only NOW, when I gained the knowing that Divine Wisdom resides in me… … discovered that I AM Divine Light, shining from the very essence of who I AM as DIVINE Love, my life was dramatically altered. Miracles started to occur!
So, which would you prefer? To allow yourself to be bogged down in the muck of it all?

Or, allowing yourselves, permitting yourselves, to stoke the fuel of your own divine light, your wisdom, and most of all the love personified that you are!
So then, how about we allow ourselves to be in constant acknowledgement of, and continual contact with, the Divine? The Divine that is in you, around you, and shows up AS YOU!
In choosing to stay present in the now, in allowing ourselves to be in constant acknowledgement of, and constant contact with the Divine, we expand our energetic vibration. And when we do, we live an empowered life. We can actually magnetize to manifest that which we want in our lives.

Not only do we live an empowered life, but we can also choose to make a divinely powerful difference in the lives of others.
I want to share a true story with you.
A few years ago, I met Elijah. He permitted me to use his name and to share his story. Elija served our country in Iraq as a highly trained Navy SEAL.
One evening after dark, he was swimming in the ocean. As a Navy SEAL, Elija was a great swimmer! On this night, Elijah swam pretty far out. His body was caught up in the strong undercurrent.
His body was being pulled under the rolling sea. Over and over, he bobbed up and was pulled back under by the strong undertow.
Elijah knew what he was trained to do in this type of instance, but instead, every time he managed to reach the surface to gasp for air, he found himself screaming.
His training told him, “Relax, Relax”. But he couldn’t do it.
His reaction was to scream even though he knew no one was going to hear him over the noise of the crashing waves.
Elijah went down and came up, over and over… and then he felt himself giving up and… he let go.
Just as he was letting go, he felt something solid behind him. At first, he was even more afraid, thinking it must be a shark!
Then he felt arms come underneath his arms.
The arms pulled him to the surface… and then all the way to shore.
They were the arms of a boy who was training to be a lifeguard.
And Elijah said to him, “Where did you come from? Are you an angel?
The boy laughed and replied, “No, I’m not an angel.”
Elijah was flabbergasted! “How did you see me? I was so far out. I was a speck in those big waves!” The boy answered, “The moon was shining. I saw you come up a few times and go back down. So I did what I knew to do.
Elijah couldn’t stop thanking the boy. Then Elijah asked the boy, “Do you know how amazing this is? How Divine this is! You were born the very moment you were born to be here on this particular beach, this very night, to save my life?” Do you know that?”
Elijah continued, “ No, no, I’m telling you, this was divine intervention. The boy said, “OK, OK, whatever you say, I think you are in shock…
let’s go get you warm!”
Elijah told the boy he was his angel! WOW!
Then I asked Elijah, “So what did you do with that, Elijah?
What effect did that have on your own life?”
Elijah said, “Well, I have a long history.
I didn’t have much trust in anything.
I am in recovery for Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.
I live with a diagnosis of PTSD and bipolar disorder.
What I did with that is… I took the healing that I’ve experienced so far and turned it around. And I became a Peer to Peer Support Specialist for other people who experience mental health issues. Quite a story, yes?
You see, we are living in the exact time in history for which we were incarnated. We who live as the truth of who we are, and maintain an expanded vibration, expanded in the knowing we are perfectly and divinely created, embodying all of the divine aspects of Creator Source, we are called to uphold the expanded vibration in our families, our community, and even on our planet! No matter what, no matter how things may appear.
We are called to stay steadily in the knowing of the truth of our being-ness so that we can be available for those who call on us for healing, for those who question who they really are, for those who are seeking, for those who are newly awakened, and for those who are discouraged.
Are you ready? Are you ready to acknowledge totally and completely that you are Divine Source Energy living now, in the exact time you are supposed to be this time around, as a human being with all of the Divine Aspects of your creator, source, God? Are you ready right now to show up in all of your Divinity for yourself, your family and friends, your community, and for our world? Yes? ??? YES!
Close your eyes, place your hand on your heart, and repeat after me, if you choose:
I now recognize that I am perfectly and divinely made.
I EMBODY all the Divine Aspects of Creator Source, God.
Therefore,
I AM
all knowing,
all-powerful,
ever-present,
and All Loving.
and I make a difference.
So it has been said, and so it always is so!
