Pittsburgh is turning into PICKSburgh and I’m excited to announce that will be part of it!

On Saturday, April 25th, I’ll be doing a live art activation in Market Square, Downtown Pittsburgh for the Draft in collaboration with the .

This is a community piece so come by, take a paintbrush, and add your own touch to a canvas created by me for all of us. My hope is that this becomes a shared stamp on a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the city.

There will be entertainment, food, and so many local spots to explore, so definitely make your way down and be part of the experience. 🤍

Happy 412 Day in the Burgh 🖤💛

It’s honestly an honor to be from the city of the Black & Yellow, the steel, the grit, the hardworking people who make this place what it is.

I find myself reflecting on my childhood a lot… probably more than most. Even recently, my friends laugh and say I’m the only person they know who gets excited about the small things. But it’s the small things that make the 412 feel like home.

Waking up and catching those view, the yellow bridges glowing like they got something to say. Seeing folks in their jerseys for a Steelers, Pirates, or Penguins game. Fish fry and pirogies, the music, the culture, the conversations you didn’t plan on having but needed.

It’s the people, too. The ones you run into in community spaces who feel just as legendary as anybody, storytellers like Rick Sebak, visionaries like August Wilson, the echoes of greatness from voices like a lot of jazz greats, all part of the fabric of these streets.

No matter how much changes. new faces, shifting neighborhoods, time moving forward, the culture here is still alive. Still breathing. Still ours.

Today just feels like a beautiful day to sit in that love.

So I’m sharing an old piece I created a painting that captured how I felt about Pittsburgh in that moment.

Do something dope in the city today !

Today marks 10 years since I completed graduate school and 14 years since undergrad. Time has moved quickly, but the journey itself has been layered, challenging, and deeply formative.

I completed both degrees in three and a half years, graduating on the same calendar day for each. While those milestones matter, what stands out more now is how much persistence was required in environments where support wasn’t always clear or accessible.

Years into my professional career, I was once asked, by an HR Director why I hadn’t “figured it out”/sought assistance for certain challenges. The honest answer was simple: I didn’t yet know what was happening. You don’t know until you know. Even professionals who work closely with people, systems, and resources may not have the language or clarity needed to advocate for themselves until later.

Through research, reflection, and tons of TikTok videos that randomly found me, I eventually learned that I am neurodivergent. That realization brought relief and validation, not because it changed my abilities, but because it reframed years of experiences that were never “just in my head” or that I was just “acting funny”

This clarity has strengthened my commitment to advocating for myself and for others, especially students, non-traditional professionals, and individuals navigating systems not designed with them in mind.

With that in mind, I’m honored to share that I’ve been selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the Disability Leadership Institute in Southwestern Pennsylvania! I look forward to learning alongside leaders in the disability community and continuing work that centers access, inclusion, and community engagement.

Grateful for the people and spaces that allow authenticity to thrive, and excited for what’s ahead.

I just want to take a moment to say thank everyone who came out and joined me for the painting activity at the summit today. You all truly gave me life and energy!

It meant so much to connect, create, and share space with you. For a few hours, I was able to forget about everything going on in my own world, and I hope I was able to offer that same peace and joy to those who participated.

A huge thank you to Amy and the College Autism Network for the opportunity to be part of something so special. I’d love for this experience to happen again sometime soon, maybe in a new city, but with the same amazing energy! What a great birthday gift 😍

I’m so excited to announce that pAint No Stress will be hosting one of the alternative activities for this year’s College Autism Summit, happening right here in Pittsburgh!

This isn’t my first conference, but it is my first one in a setting like this, and I’m honestly just so grateful and excited for the opportunity. I’ll be leading a wellness session, where we’ll slow things down, get creative, and connect through art, storytelling, and reflection.

The summit officially starts today, but I believe there’s still time to register if you’re a student or professional who wants to attend. You can find more info and registration links over on the page.

I can’t wait to share this space, some creativity, and maybe help folks find their people while we paint, reflect, and breathe together. 🖤

Another year at Urban Academy, and my heart is so full 🍂✨ I think this might be my fourth (maybe even fifth!) year doing this, and every time feels just as special. I love that the school continues to keep connections with artists from the past, it means a lot to still be part of this creative community.

Lately, I’ve really needed a positive escape, and seeing those bright, happy faces, faces that may not know how heavy the world can feel sometimes, reminded me what joy really looks like. 💛

Thank you again to for welcoming me into your classroom and to for always keeping the arts alive. Happy fall, everyone 🖤

Sometimes, all you need is a new space, fresh perspectives, or people who share your vision to get your spirit lifted and your creativity flowing. That’s exactly how I felt being at The Connect Center with Sister Ona and so many kind, passionate folks.

It was an honor to host a pAint No Stress wellness session, sit on a beautiful panel with two amazing humans, and just be in a space filled with warmth and intention. Huge shoutout to Pastor Nate for creating such a welcoming environment! It truly makes all the difference when leadership leads with heart.

Also, I have to mention the incredible food being served there Wednesday–Saturday. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

I left feeling full in every sense. Thank you again to everyone who made the day so special. I can’t wait to come back!

Today is World Mental Health Day, and with it comes a lot of reflection on my own mental health and what it means for so many others. This time of year always stirs up mixed feelings for me. Alongside the weight of my own journey, I can’t help but think about the increasing violence and loss of life in our communities, particularly children. I made an art piece in 2020 (pictured) out of frustration, in response to the senseless loss of young lives. It was a simple piece, but it resonated deeply with those who saw it, especially parents. I’ve seen their reactions: tears, long moments of silence, and heart-wrenching conversations with their children about the importance of living each day to the fullest and treating others with kindness.

These are the kinds of losses that weigh heavily on my mind. While I don’t have human children of my own yet, I often wonder what kind of world we’re leaving behind for future generations. It’s heartbreaking to think about how cruel the world can sometimes be.

Today is about raising awareness—not just for mental health struggles but also for the bigger picture: the violence that haunts our communities, maternal health, and how our decisions, especially with the upcoming election, can shape the future. I’m grateful to be here, to reflect, and to continue creating art that sparks conversation and hopefully change. Let’s take care of our mental health and keep the bigger conversations going!

Super excited to be back for my third year with the amazing students at ! I always look forward to visiting Ms. Krall’s class. This year, we focused on feelings in art—perfect timing with the change in season and World Mental Health Day coming up.

We explored emotions through a creative fall theme, where students could express themselves using colors and symbols that represent how they’re feeling. Many students were simply eager to dive into the paints, which I totally appreciate! But it was especially great hearing from those who opened up about their feelings and thoughts! 🧡🍁
