Mother's Day is one of the most tender days of the year. For some it is full of joy and celebration. For others it holds grief, longing, complexity, or silence. For many it holds all of those things at once. At ALLORA we believe mothering is not confined to biology. It is the tending. The showing up. The radical act of caring for something beyond yourself.

Cesarean births account for roughly 1 in 3 births in the United States. And yet they are often the births where doula support is considered least necessary. The opposite is true. A cesarean is major abdominal surgery. It can be planned or unexpected. It can feel like relief or like grief or like both at the same time. What it always is...is profound. And every person moving through it deserves continuous, unwavering support. That is what a doula provides. In any room. At any birth. If you are expecting and want to talk about what doula support could look like for your birth ((regardless of how you plan to give birth)) send a DM or link in bio to connect on a complementary intro call.
