I’m sure by now, most patients are aware of this news, but I’ve been in touch with a few that are confused as to what the process is after the recent change. So, to clarify this for anyone who may not understand:

As of July 30, 2020, patients no longer need to visit the Pa Department of Health website and complete the process to renew their certifications. The state will now automatically renew them and patients will receive an email directing them to login and pay for the recertification. This DOES NOT mean patients don’t have to pay the fee the state charges or the doctor they see for their recertifications. Visit the PA Department of Health website for detailed instructions.
