This right here...one of my fave events of the year🌼

A sunny, summer Sunday in August at The Club at Nevillewood dressed and ready for an afternoon tea party...yes, please!

It wasn't just any tea party and it definitely wasn't your usual networking event. It was a fundraising event in support of the Altzheimer's Association with featured guest Heather Abraham. I met Heather on my Talk Pittsburgh segments and she is just as genuine and sweet in person as she is behind the camera...simply the perfect woman to kick off this beautiful event.

I am fortunate to not have had a direct family connection to this disease and I can't imagine the heartbreak it brings. As I learn more and more about it through friends and their stories my heart goes out to anyone whose loved one is or was suffering from this condition🧡

The details and the vibe of this event were completely on point. From the décor to the beautiful auction items to the strolling violinist...all 💯 in my eyes.

It was a refreshing afternoon from the day-to-day hustle and a chance to wear a floral dress and matching fascinator...again, yes, please. I am totally there!💐

Still thinking about this one📍Venice Beach, California

The day before the wedding was spent getting the lay of the land...moving between the bride's home, the boardwalk, and the spot where she would get ready with her girls, walking through the day before it actually happened. Getting all the loose ends tied up, layout memorized, and a plan set.

Saturday was the wedding...a Barbie-themed celebration that was beyond, beyond fun. There were too many great moments to include here, but there's more over on Wish, Hope, Dreams 💍

A couple years ago, my husband started coming along for the content creation side of things...completely unplanned, like how most really great things happen in business.

What started as an extra set of hands has turned into an actual system: two sets of equipment, two different angles, two perspectives of the same day. This one, I was with the bride, he was with the groom, and we met up again at the reception to capture it together.

A lot of people don't realize on-site content creation is even part of what I do. It's not something I planned or set out to offer. It just kept developing, and it's still developing.

Most of that work has stayed close to home, across the Pittsburgh area, but this trip took us across the country.

Content creation isn't the videography, and it isn't the photography...it's the behind-the-scenes capture of the candid, authentic moments in between.

That last photo...yes, real life traveling the red eye home to Pittsburgh. My face not bright😴😴😴but the experience super bright😅

The Barbie-fied pic? Yep, the bride had some fun with this one. The wedding planning team turned Barbie😅

This one will stick with us for a long time. The couple was amazing, so warm, and welcoming. The day was amazing, and I'm so proud to have been part of it and proud that this part of my business keeps growing and expanding. It genuinely lights me up.

Grateful doesn't even cover it 🧡

Three recent conversations, three different clients, but all had the same exact struggle.

They hate asking for testimonials and they feel like they're bragging if they share their wins.

I get it because I'm actually the same way. I've never been good at tooting my own horn because I didn’t want to be "that person" 🫣

But, I did learn that staying quiet doesn't help.

As we shift from July to August, remember that a new month is a chance to shift your mindset and start fresh 🍃

This morning I woke up extra early, around the 5am range and decided to start my day then rather than trying to fall back to sleep.

I made this extra strong cup of coffee pictured unintentionally. I guess at 5am, I didn't realize that I doubled the amount of coffee for the same amount of water as a normal pot. I realized this after I drank more than half and began laughing hysterically😅 Maybe this was the extra go power I needed to wrap up my end of month tasks this morning😲

A new month starts tomorrow. If you need to get organized and refocused, that's ok. Don't beat yourself up, it's not worth it. Just move along. Get back on track with your emails, your content, and your messaging. Small progress leads to big results and that’s what matters.

For me, I'm wrapping up scheduling newsletters for clients, finalizing content calendars, solidifying monthly calls, getting all the ducks in a row for the new month ahead.

One major to-do item for this weekend is to plan my week and my month ahead. The amount of peace and control this habit brings to me is worth its weight in gold. Time well spent!

Both rewarding and overwhelming.

In this week's blog we're doing a throwback moment.

I'm sharing a chapter of my story that subtly shaped the way I think about marketing…ten years managing a brick-and-mortar chiropractic office. The scheduling, the billing, the patient experience, and yes, even the marketing.

I learned what it truly means to wear all the hats. I learned that showing up consistently even when it's hard is what keeps a business alive.

Headshots, happy hour, a warm summer evening in Pittsburgh...yes, please 📸

What happens when you get a room full of "go-getter" women together? A room full of good vibes and support.

We chatted, laughed, "head-shotted" it up with at SoHo Pittsburgh and just enjoyed being out for the evening away from our work and laptops 😅

Raffle proceeds and donations went to the fundraising efforts of the Pittsburgh Professional Women for the Alzheimer's Association...every dollar matters.

Congratulations Sheila...my small biz basket is yours to enjoy!

This is me...not the marketing strategist...just Amy😃

This picture taken in May was about one hour into our cruise. Can you see the pure joy on my face? That moment when you realize the next 7 days are yours to fill however you wish. The moment your out of office says "Do Not Disturb"😅

Carryon backpack still being carried, getting the lay of the land...ohh yes.

How do we vacation? Well, in our house we love warm weather, relaxing poolside, and fun, uplifting energy. My husband and I met on the dance floor so it's only natural that we like some good ol' fun.

I always tell my clients people love to see a little glimpse into what and how you live. A little glimpse into your personality. A little glimpse into "you".

Needless to say, leave out the details that are private and keep you safe, but you get the idea.

I believe that showing the personal sides are what really make people connect with you. We share our expertise, our events, but let's be human too.

Speaking of authenticity, this right here is a little glimpse at what lights me up. As my husband says, "Work hard, play hard"🫣 and that we do during work and that we did on vaca.

When you show up as you, the right people will find you 🧡

I spent a long time being a closed book.

Imposter syndrome gets you sometimes. Things like "who am I to share this?" and "I don't stack up to all the other experts out there." Sound familiar?

The turning point came when I found my passion and suddenly my story felt so great to tell.

Every chapter, every detail, every detour led me here.
