"Normal" is not the same as optimal.

And if you've ever walked out of a doctor's appointment with a clean bill of health — while still feeling exhausted, foggy, or just not yourself — you already know that.

Standard lab work is designed to catch disease. It's not designed to find the early warning signs that show up years before a diagnosis. It's not designed to look at how your hormones, inflammation, thyroid, and metabolism are working together. And it's almost never designed to give you answers about why you feel the way you feel.

We do things differently.

Our Metabolic Health Assessment includes a 44-marker comprehensive lab panel — fasting insulin, ApoB, Lp(a), full thyroid, cortisol, hormones, inflammatory markers, and more — plus a 60-minute results consultation and a personalized written action plan.

Not "your levels are within range."
Actual answers. An actual plan.

📍 Available to patients in Texas only.

For July only: $350 (reg. $425)
No insurance needed. No referral required.

The Estrogen Symphony — Movement 1: Your Brain

Most women in perimenopause are told their brain fog, anxiety, and mood changes are stress. Or aging. Or depression.

Very few are ever told the truth:

Estrogen is one of your brain's most important regulators — and when it starts to fluctuate, your entire neurological landscape shifts.

Here's what's actually happening:

Estrogen controls how much serotonin your brain makes, how long it lasts, and how well your receptors respond to it. It works on your serotonin system in a way that's remarkably similar to how antidepressants work.

It regulates dopamine — which drives your motivation, your sense of reward, your ability to focus and feel pleasure. That "flat" feeling? The loss of drive? That may be dopaminergic disruption, not a character flaw.

It supports GABA — your brain's calming system. When estrogen fluctuates erratically in perimenopause, so does your ability to feel calm. New-onset anxiety in a previously non-anxious woman is one of the most common and most missed presentations I see.

And it supports the brain circuits responsible for working memory, word retrieval, and attention — the same circuits involved in long-term cognitive health.

This is why so many women are prescribed antidepressants and anxiolytics before anyone thinks to check their hormones. Not because their providers don't care — but because this connection isn't taught the way it should be.

Your brain fog is not inevitable.
Your anxiety is not who you are now.
Your memory lapses are not early dementia.

They may be hormonal. And that is something we can work with.

This is Part 1 of The Estrogen Symphony series — because estrogen doesn't just run your reproductive system. It conducts your entire body. And when it steps back, the whole orchestra feels it.

Follow along for the rest of the series. And if any of this sounds like you — follow the link in my bio to book an appointment. Let's talk.

Not all health conversations happen when something is "wrong."

Some of the most important questions never get asked because we're taught to wait until we're sick.

✨ Why am I so exhausted when my labs are "normal"?
✨ Is this weight gain just getting older?
✨ Why can't I sleep anymore?
✨ Is brain fog really something I just have to live with?
✨ What can I do to prevent diabetes, heart disease, or fatty liver disease before they happen?

Your primary care visit should be about more than refilling medications and checking a box. It should be a conversation about helping you feel your best now—and protecting your health for the future.

If you've ever left an appointment thinking, "I forgot to ask..." this reel is for you.
