Last night, Heather Molsbee, Operations and Development Manager, joined community leaders and organizations for the Better Together Initiative, a McKinney, Texas - Unique by Nature initiative led by The University of Texas at Dallas that brings public, private, and nonprofit partners together to address the challenges facing our community.

As our older adult population continues to grow, conversations like these help the Wellness Center better understand what our community will need and how we can continue strengthening preventative services and support for seniors and caregivers.

And the work doesn’t stop with the conversation. The information gathered throughout the evening and through the workgroups will now be used to develop actionable recommendations and a proposed plan. The Steering Committee will then review those recommendations before the final plan moves forward to City Council.

Seniors matter. Being there today helps us be ready for tomorrow. πŸ’šπŸ’™

πŸ’™πŸ’š Thank You, Collin College Nursing Students!

We are so grateful to the nursing students from Collin College who spent their summer serving our older adults through wellness checkups, screenings and hand-on care.

Their time with us not only provided valuable support to the older adults we serve but also gave these future nurses meaningful clinical experience and hands-on hours as they continue preparing for their careers in healthcare.

We appreciate their compassion, dedication and commitment to serving our community and we are excited to welcome them back this fall!

Together, we are supporting healthier older adults while helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. πŸ©ΊπŸ’™πŸ’š

Small Services. Big Impact

Preventative care helps older adults age in place with dignity. πŸ’™πŸ’š

More than 60% of adults age 60 and older living in the community will experience hypertension. That’s why the Wellness Center provides free blood pressure screenings during monthly clinics and routine visits.

Nearly 48% of adults age 65 and older have arthritis, which can make routine foot and hand care difficult and impact mobility. Our nurses provide routine nail and foot care as part of our preventative wellness services.

These may seem like small services, but they can make a big difference in an older adult’s health, comfort and independence.

Help us continue providing these essential services. Give, support and share our mission today. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Last week, it was an honor to be in the room at the Plano Chamber of Commerce 2026 Women’s Division Summit!

It was a morning filled with inspiration, meaningful conversations, new connections, and thoughtful conversations about leadership, confidence, the future of work, and AI.

Our ED enjoyed connecting with Dee Maddox, a leader passionate about excellence, service, and giving back to her community. We’re grateful for opportunities that bring inspiring women together to learn, connect, and build for tomorrow. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Stronger leadership. Stronger community. Better support for older adults. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Our leaders continue to learn, connect and build relationships in the community so we can grow and better serve the older adults who depend on us.

✨ Joy Hinkelman, our Executive Director, attended the Personal Growth Pillar Lunch & Learn hosted by First United Bank, connecting with community leaders and gaining new insights around personal growth and leadership. Pictured with Joy are D’Andre Allegra of First United Bank - Plano and Charmaine Solomon of Leadership Plano & Plano Chamber of Commerce.

✨ Heather Molsbee, our Operations and Development Manager attended United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Community Impact Grant Recipient Lunch & Learn, connecting with fellow nonprofit leaders and exploring ways partnerships can strengthen community impact. Pictured with Heather are Daphne Warren with Hope Restored Missions and Leslie Chatman with Crossroads in Dallas.

We are grateful for the people and organizations in our community who continue to learn, connect and serve others.

When we come together, our community becomes stronger and older adults benefit from a stronger network of support.
