Hey friends. I had tremendous hopes of being able to offer reiki sessions still in the studio until October, but it appears the universe has other plans for me.

I walked in today to another leak and another rug flooded. I can't stay in this space any longer and I cannot rationalize offering healing in this space anymore. Not with how humid and muggy it keeps getting with these leaks.

So, from the absolute bottom of my heart - I apologize.

To anyone who was booked with me or trying to find time to book with me - I am sorry. I am, however, willing to bring my reiki table to you & work together to curate a beautiful experience in your space. I will share a post solely about that soon.

For now, it seems I'm saying goodbye to Fernlight faster than planned. Sometimes life just happens, I guess.

Thank you again friends for any and all support you've shown my creative parts along the way. I hope to continue to share art and light with you all soon.

Closing this chapter.

After some reflection, I’ve decided to close the physical studio space for Fernlight Studio as of 10.31.26.

When I first created Fernlight, I didn’t know exactly what it would become. The opportunity presented itself and I knew I had longed for a place to create, so I took the leap. Somewhere along the way, the dream of combining creativity & soulwork emerged, and the studio became a little home for that vision. A space where I could paint, teach, experiment, and share pieces of myself with other people.

Unfortunately, I just don’t think it was the right time. My life doesn’t allow me to pour into this as much as I would ultimately love, and the dream never quite came to fruition in the way I imagined. But this journey, these last two years, taught me so much, and I am immensely grateful.

At the end of the day, Fernlight was never actually a place. It’s the essence of my creative spirit.

So this isn't goodbye to Fernlight.

I'm just bringing it home. 🤍

The next chapter will be much smaller and more intimate: a creative space in my home where I can make art simply because I want to, play, and let the next version of this dream unfold whenever it's ready.

There will still be paintings, strange little projects, and beautiful things I haven’t imagined yet. I’ll be selling and donating a decent chunk of things over the next two months, so stay tuned.

As for healing services, I’ll still be offering things with Stoneworks in Plattsburgh occasionally & with BE Yoga in Malone. Reiki 1:1 with me will also change shape a little but I’ll be available to bring my Reiki table to you, if you wish to book with me, and we’ll curate a healing experience in your own environment. More on this later. I’ll still be booking Reiki sessions in the studio through at least the first week of October.

My website, which I've poured countless hours into and learned so much from, will also change over the next couple of months and become just a blog & portfolio, possibly on a different platform.

Thank you to everyone who supported Fernlight in its first chapter. Whether you purchased art, made something with me, received healing sessions, encouraged me, shared my work, or simply believed in what I was trying to build, I’m incredibly honored.

Here’s to whatever the next chapter brings.
