One of the biggest benefits of MagnaWave PEMF therapy is that it can help identify areas where your horse may be tight, sore, compensating, or experiencing inflammation. Horses are incredibly good at hiding discomfort, especially performance horses that continue working despite pain or tension. During a MagnaWave session, horses often give subtle physical reactions that can reveal where they are holding stress or discomfort in the body.
When the MagnaWave loop passes over an area of tightness or inflammation, horses may react by twitching their skin, turning their head, pinning their ears, shifting their weight, licking and chewing, stretching, or even moving away from the area. These reactions can indicate increased sensitivity or restriction in the muscles and tissues. Areas with poor circulation, muscle tension, inflammation, or soreness tend to respond more noticeably because the PEMF stimulates blood flow and cellular activity in those regions.
Many horses will also visibly relax once the area begins releasing tension. You may notice them lowering their head, yawning, blinking, cocking a hind leg, or taking deep breaths. These are all common signs that the body is responding positively and beginning to relax.
MagnaWave does not diagnose injuries or replace veterinary care, but it can be an excellent tool for helping horse owners recognize areas that may need additional attention. It allows practitioners and owners to better understand the horse’s body, monitor soreness patterns, and support overall recovery, performance, and comfort.
Regular MagnaWave sessions may help:
* Improve circulation
* Reduce muscle tension
* Support recovery after exercise
* Promote relaxation
* Increase flexibility and mobility
* Help maintain overall wellness and performance
Every horse responds differently, but their reactions during a session can provide valuable insight into what their body may be feeling.
