For most women with PCOS, eating three BLOOD SUGAR STABLE meals a day, maybe with one intentional snack if needed, is best.

When you graze all day, you are requiring your pancreas to constantly pump out insulin.

When insulin is always high, your cells start to tune it out and insulin resistance can worsen.

Giving your digestion a break between meals allows those insulin levels to come back down to baseline.

On the flip side, extreme fasting can sometimes backfire by causing your cortisol to spike and making you so ravenous that you overeat later.

What questions do you have about how to balance your blood sugar? Tell me in the comments ⬇️

It's normal for your cortisol to spike temporarily when you exercise.

It naturally comes down afterwards and much of the repair work happens during rest and recovery.

When you over-exercise, stress and recovery become unbalanced and you stay...STRESSED.

With PCOS this can make your symptoms even worse.

If you're googling PCOS workouts and struggling to figure out your own body, that's exactly what I help women with in my program! DM me "PCOS" and tell me what you're experiencing ❤️

Research shows that insulin resistance typically precedes a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis by *10 to 15 years* 😳

Typical diabetes labs will often miss a problem, and since 70-80% of women with PCOS have insulin resistance, we need a better way!

That's why I check some of these early indicators:

➡️Fasting insulin: This might be high in the early stages even if your blood sugar is not. While labs often say up to 24 is "normal," we want to see this under 6.0 uIU/mL for optimal PCOS management.

➡️HOMA-IR: A calculation of fasting insulin and glucose that is a good result indicator. We want to see this under 1. If it’s over 1.9, your pancreas is likely working overtime.

➡️Triglyceride:HDL Ratio: A high ratio is a strong early red flag for insulin resistance. I'm looking for under 1.5; anything over 2.0 suggests insulin resistance is already present.

➡️GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test): No one likes this test. The drink is gross 🤢 But it's the "gold standard" for seeing how your body responds to sugar in real-time.

Stop the guesswork and test! DM me "PCOS" to learn how I help clients get results.
