Uniting Pet and Human Research for a Cure®

At Animal Cancer Foundation ("ACF") a 501(c)(3) organization, we are singularly focused on selecting the best early-stage comparative oncology research to improve cancer outcomes for people and pets. At ACF, we believe that comparative oncology is the most under-utilized and most promising research model to increase knowledge of cancer as a disease, allo

w development of basic science data that warrants additional investment from large funders, and catalyzes successful development of new therapies for both veterinary and human patients. We provide research grants to enable comparative oncologists to build scientific evidence, conduct robust clinical trials, and generate cancer genomic datasets to integrate into the human cancer drug development pipeline. We ensure through rigorous grant-funding parameters that ACF funded research is best-in-field early development that will be poised to attract government and industry funding and encourage open share of discovery with all researchers.

Did you know your employer may be able to help your donation go even further? 🐾💛

Many companies offer matching gift and payroll giving programs that can increase your impact without increasing your donation.

It's a simple way to help advance cancer research for pets and people.

🐾 Still smiling after an amazing weekend at HarborFest!

We had the best time hanging out with our community. Between swapping stories with local pet parents, sharing our mission, and hosting some very good boys and girls at our Doggie Water Station, our hearts (and water bowls) are completely full. 💙

Events like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. Getting to chat face-to-face lets us share how our research works, how studying cancer in pets helps us find faster cures for both our fur babies and humans.

A massive thank you to everyone who swung by our booth, asked great questions, or paused to share their own journey with us. Your stories keep us moving forward.

Together, we’re pushing for better treatments, earlier diagnostics, and a lot more hope for families facing a diagnosis.

Thank you for being the best part of the ACF family!

Behind every new discovery is a community of researchers, veterinarians, pet owners, and supporters working toward the same goal: better outcomes for families affected by cancer.

At Animal Cancer Foundation, we're proud to support research that helps move science forward while creating hope for pets and people alike.

While meaningful progress doesn't happen overnight, every study, every partnership, and every discovery brings us one step closer.

Summer means more time outdoors with our pets—but did you know that dogs and cats can experience sun-related skin damage too?

Pets with light-colored skin, thin coats, or areas of hair loss may be especially vulnerable to the effects of sun exposure. A few simple precautions, like avoiding peak sun hours, providing shade and water, and using pet-safe sun protection, can help keep them safe and comfortable all season long.

At Animal Cancer Foundation, we believe that awareness and prevention are important parts of supporting long-term health for pets. Small steps today can make a difference tomorrow.

Swipe through for simple tips to help your pet enjoy a safe and healthy summer. ☀️🐾

The numbers are difficult to ignore.

1 in 4 dogs and 1 in 5 cats will be diagnosed with cancer, and for senior dogs, that number rises even higher. These statistics represent beloved companions, worried families, and the growing need for continued research and education.

At Animal Cancer Foundation, our mission is to support groundbreaking research, increase awareness, and provide trusted educational resources that help families and veterinarians navigate cancer diagnoses with hope and knowledge.

Together, we can continue working toward better diagnostics, treatments, and brighter futures for pets and people alike. 🐾

If your pet has been acting differently lately, don’t ignore the signs. 🐾

Changes in behavior, unexplained weight loss, lumps, vomiting, swelling, and other symptoms may be worth discussing with your veterinarian.

Knowing what to look for can help pet owners take action earlier — because our pets depend on us to notice when something feels off.

Behind every breakthrough is a community willing to help move research forward.

At Animal Cancer Foundation, sponsors play an important role in advancing comparative oncology research focused on improving outcomes for both pets and people.

Partnerships like these help support innovation, strengthen community impact, and create meaningful opportunities for businesses to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Because progress in cancer research happens when people, organizations, and communities work together. 💛
