Ezra update:

He’s doing well. Responding to antibiotics, steroids, aggressive breathing treatments, and has tolerated coming off high flow for 24 hours now.
He’s still tired and a bit cranky, but we’re starting to see him come back to himself a bit more. He is so incredibly tough. 💜

Poor Ez is in the hospital with pneumonia again after RSV and other random illnesses. Sunday, we spent the night in the PICU. His breathing was extremely labored; he was gulping for air. We brought him in, and he was put on high-flow oxygen immediately, and we started breathing treatments. He needed about eight back-to-back doses and a dose of steroids to be able to relax a little. He was stepped down to the PACU Monday evening, with minor improvements; his breathing is comfortable. He is able to rest and move secretions now. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are looking at a week or two hospital stay.

No obligation, but anything helps. Mom & dad are both missing work right now and FMLA only helps so much.

Ezra spent most of his 6th birthday yesterday in the ER. He’s come down with Adenovirus, gastroenteritis, and Rhinoentero virus 🦠 😭 a long heart felt post is coming, but we are sooo tired.
