We will start the evening at 7pm with Qi Gong led by Dr. Kat Brady (.kat.brady). Dr. Kat, LAc. (they/them) has studied and practiced Qigong for over a decade and was raised studying the martial arts. They are a certified teacher from the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong school under the instruction of Master Liu He and received their doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. February 4th was the arrival of Yin Spring in the Daoist Lunar calendar. This is the time when the seeds pop open as the ground warms and the seedlings make their way toward the world above. This Qigong practice will connect us to the energy of the season as we awaken to this new year and prepare for the arrival of the Fire Horse.

Our DJ for this week is Kallum ()(https://soundcloud.com/kallum_music). Kallum blends contemporary music production with traditional instruments, vocals, and musical scales sampled from across our planet. His organic-electronic sounds amplify his wish to connect communities with the world’s palette through music, movement, and dance. He has shared stages with Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Savej, Habitaat, Geometrae, Shaman’s Dream, and many more.

We will close with a Sound Healing from Sarah Rayne & Dr. Kat Brady (). These two have been collaborating in love, community building, and sound-crafting for nearly a decade. Sarah is a q***r witch, healing artist, priestess, and founder of Firebird Healing Arts & Glimmer Wellness Center. Dr. Kat, LAc., is an acupuncturist, Qigong instructor, student of Daoism and Chinese medicine, musician, and dancer. As the night comes to a close, Sarah and Kat will weave together ambient instrumentation, soul awakening rhythms, and medicine songs into a sonic journey that will awaken us to the energies of Spring and the coming of the Fire Horse year.

Dragon Activation is the first and most essential phase in Dragon School. The three pillars of this foundational work are:
1- responsible energy cultivation (building sensitivity/discovering your powers)
2- energetic/emotional hygiene (unclogging, untangling, meeting your parts)
3- emotional intimacy with your Self and your practice

Dragon Activation practice invites you into an intimate & intentional dialogue between “you” and your emotional body, energy body, and vibrational self. We initiate the conversation with breath & movement, intentional in our communication, our rhythm, our tone. Then we STOP DOING, and simply listen as the subtle bodies respond: in sensations, in insights, in messages, in EMOTION. Energy - In - Motion.

Although we will be together in a group, this is an individual practice where you are invited to tune into your own experience. Because the answers, the peace, the love we seek is ALL inside. There is nothing outside that will ever fulfill that hunger that gnaws at us, that deep desire, that NEED, to know our Self.

A special New Year’s Acupuncture Sound Bath to help get your energy right, as we flow into 2026!

Join us for this relaxing and nourishing sound & healing experience featuring a live ambient sound bath and gentle acupuncture treatments. This event will support you in relaxation, nervous system soothing, re-balancing of the body and its energetic pathways, and a subtle energy cleansing & reset.

We’ll open sacred space together, and you’ll then be invited to get cozy, fully relax and receive. Sarah will lead a short guided visualization while beginning the sound journey with various ambient & sacred instruments. Kat will then provide a gentle acupuncture treatment for all attendees who’d like to receive, with the intention of balancing the flow of energy in the body and supporting relaxation. This will be followed by a beautiful & immersive sound journey. You’ll be relaxing in your inner world in a meditative state, while receiving the benefits of the acupuncture treatment and the sound healing vibrations.

After the acupuncture needles are removed, we will close the practice with a short Qigong-style self-massage practice led by Kat, with the intention of bringing us back into presence and grounding in our bodies after our sonic + energetic journey.

This long and luxurious Acupuncture Sound Bath will include live, ambient instruments such as shruti box, singing bowls, chimes, drums, bells, and other vibrational sound medicines.

These gentle healing modalities will assist your body in relaxing, and in energetically releasing what you are ready to.

All are welcome - no experience necessary!

*Please note that unfortunately due to regulations, patients of Quest Center for Integrative Health are not eligible to attend this event or receive acupuncture treatments from Dr. Kat Brady through Firebird Healing Arts*
