๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉIt's a red flag if an artist shames you for wanting to discuss price. Clear and open discussion of price points from all parties is a vital part of the process. Tattoos exist in a place where art and commerce intersect and as such, the artist and the subject need to be so very real about it. An artist should be able to give an estimate based on the pieces size, complexity, and their hourly rate. They should provide you with estimates on how long your session could take. If you are working in a budget, they should be willing to discuss what options you have, what changes can and can't be made to help. If what you're looking to get is not possible inside of your budget, your artist should be honest with you, and provide you their contact information to reach out to them when you have secured the funds you need for that sick sleeve.
Keep in mind if you're saving up for a tattoo you should save up a tip too. Artists love tips! ๐โจ
