The One when Patty Found Inspiration from Central Perk Coffee Co.
....

I thought I'd be close to departure for Nice by now but alas...

I'm still waiting.

According to a study that came out in August, the first quarter of 2025 saw a 102% increase in expatriation compared to the last quarter of 2024. 🤯

Based on the changes I've seen just in the last 4 months,
I wouldn't be surprised if this trend either continues or increases.

Moving to the other side of the world is never easy.

There are hoops to jump through.
Processes to follow.
And ways of doing things that are very different from how things are done here in the US.

It's the ultimate test of patience.
And there's no guarantee.

Uncertainty is a hard thing for us humans.

We like to know what's going to happen, when, and how much it will cost us in time and resources.

I'm no different than anyone else.

But I've lived a very meandering life.
And so in that respect...this experience isn't much different.

I've spent the last 5 years finding my home within myself.
I'm fortunate to have a fantastic support network as I move through this momentary challenge in time.

And I'm grateful to have developed a mindfulness practice that keeps me grounded and flowing...as best as can be expected of course.

When you hit the eject button on the life you've been living to go after what you've always wanted, the 3 most important qualities to embody in my opinion are:

➡️Flexibility
➡️Perseverance
➡️Intuitive connection

Does the calm before the storm make you...
...

anxious?
excited?
present?
relaxed?

It probably depends on how you define the proverbial storm.

If you define the storm and brace for something chaotic that
whips up and disorganizes everything you've always known,
or destroys something important to you...
..I'm guessing you'd be pretty anxious.
Who wouldn't be?!

But if you consider said storm as something that

creates balance and new growth,
has a restorative factor to it, or
has a detoxifying effect...
..you might be excited or intrigued!

I'm scheduled to get my passport back on Monday.
My hope is there's a visa to France in there.

But regardless of whether or not I can continue on as I've been planning..

I know 1 thing for sure...

My "storm" is going to be an adventure!

Anxious? Yup
Excited? Yup
Present? Yup
Relaxed? ummmm...sometimes 😉

Our perspective has the power to shape our experience.

How do you perceive the calm before the storm?

Yesterday was supposed to be the start of the Mastermind Circle, Beyond the White Coat.
...

But you know what has been confirmed to me as I've been talking to many of you who are interested in joining?

There's a whole lot going on right now for everyone!

And I totally get it. This is life and right now it's full!

Nearly 50 people reached out to me expressing interest in exploring what's possible beyond traditional private practice..

That tells me that there's a lot of curiosity and quite a need for support as we start to explore how to pivot in a way that feels exciting, maybe adventurous, and promising!

I heard from some of you that the flow of time, energy or money is tight right now.

Life can seem so busy at times that investing in ourselves can feel like an out-of-reach stretch.

Because of this, I've decided to postpone the start date for the
Mastermind to October 28.

I want to give us all an opportunity to do exactly what the Mastermind is about...

➡️Peek around the corner gently
➡️Allow the natural flow of time to create more space
➡️And to allow the financial flow to shift.

I greatly appreciate all of the conversations I've had with all of you who've reached out. No matter how exactly the Circle is formed, I hope we've all gained a bit more insight and felt a little less alone as we look towards our next sacred adventure. 🙏

Between now and October 28, I'll continue to share tips and insight to help us all along our way, no matter if you join or not. 🌅

It's about more than just a start date with an end goal.
It's about finding space to connect more deeply with our capacity
and ourselves over time.

For those who have joined or are in the active decision making process, I'm excited to work with you. ✨

T minus 21 hours until....
...

My visa appointment in Boston! 🎇

As I'm putting together my 80+ page application file
for my visa application to France

It's wild to think of all the preparation that went into this process.

With focused intention and a healthy dose of luck on my side..
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel ✨

It's been...

a lot of research
at times seemingly endless preparartion
setbacks and disappointments
and wins

all along the way.

But each step has brought me closer to this one.

No matter where you are at in the process..

If you're looking towards a big dream on your horizon
and feel a bit intimidated or overwhelmed
I'd love to have you join my Mastermind circle that starts Sept. 9.

If you're a healthcare practitioner looking to cross a new threshold in the coming months or years...

All it takes is 1 foot in front of the other,
a dash of support
and a sprinkle of mindset rewiring
to start to see your light at the end of the tunnel. 🙏

Please reach out if you're curious to learn more.

Only a few spots left!

Who loves coffee?! 🙋‍♀️
...
What's your favorite?
Cappuccino?
Latte?
Cafe au Lait?

Mine....
COLD BREW!! 🙋‍♀️
Especially in the summer.

And one of my favorite parts of remote work is I get to call my favorite coffee shops around the world my office.

In Manchester...it's Waterworks Cafe in the Millyard.

If you love coffee too, reach out!
No conversation about coffee is a waste of time. ☕️

If you're curious about remote work, reach out!
Also...one of my fave topics.

And if you or someone you know is a healthcare provider and is tired of the office management, private practice hustle, and is curious about how to use those healthcare provider skills out in the world doing something different, creative, and more in alignment, reach out!!

Only when we are take the time to truly nourish who we are can we fully show up for others in our lives.

Cheers! ☕️☕️

What are you on the cusp of?
...

The waves were big in August.

Anyone else feel the same?

There didn't seem to be enough hours in the day to do all the things.

From managing 2 businesses.
To finding an apartment in France.
To setting up renter's insurance.
To wondering how I would manage 2 factor authentication sent to my US phone number while in France (still working on this one!)
To working on the documents for my visa application to France.

The list goes on....

But just last night something shifted.
The energy feels different.

There's a hint of fall in the air 🍁
I had a lovely afternoon with family friends visiting before my departure 💕
My French apartment is mostly squared away (for now).
All of the visa docs are complete and ready to be printed.
The visa waiting zone is close on the horizon.
Various work projects are wrapping up with a new program starting next week.

When we're working towards something that we really want, but that is really big, there are times when it might all look a little off balance.

But like Ketut said in Eat, Pray, Love,
"Sometimes to lose balance for love is part of living a balanced life."

I love that I'm going through this process of moving to France.
And that is what has kept me going over the last couple of months.

I'm grateful for the energetic shift as I ground and settle, be present, and mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare for the next round.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear what you are on the cusp of and ready to ride the waves for! Share 👇 or DM me.

Just saw this Inspirology quote...

"Just overheard someone say: 'You'll never feel ready because ready isn't a feeling, it's a decision.' And honestly? That one's going to live rent-free in my head."

This one hits home!

I think we so often think we are supposed to arrive
at feeling ready.

As if all of the pieces will magically come together one day and
P**f! Now we are ready to move forward!

But no!

It's a decision that we need to make.

It may be based on feeling a certain way or discovering how we want to feel in our lives.

But we still need to condense our energy to create action.

When I made the decision to start exploring moving to France 2 years ago, it wasn't a feeling that made me begin.

It was a decision.

A decision to start putting 1 foot in front of the other.
1 call after another.
1 inquiry after another.

The process didn't move itself forward.
I made the decision to begin.

My question for you is...
Are you ready to make the decision to explore what your next adventure is?

I'm curious about...
...
pretty much everything to do with interactions between living beings!

One of the things I'm looking forward to the most about moving abroad
is learning more about what makes us humans tick from a different vantage point.

Why do we do the things that we do?
Why do we choose to do what we do in the way we do it?
Why do we choose to have certain people along for the ride?
Why do we avoid having certain people along for the ride?

And I'm not referring to the initial, heady, response of...
Because it's fun.
Or because it makes me happy.

I'm talking about the reasons that lie deep down in the core of our beings.
That drive our subconscious patterning..
Often without even realizing the impact these patterns or beliefs have on our lives.

I'm at the point in my cross-world move where I'm knocking up against a number of people who are very quick to say no and goodbye.
As in no...I'm not even interested in understanding what you need or what you're saying.

Not a no...this doesn't work for me.

A very quick No. I'm not interested in trying to understand. I got tripped up in something you said and we're all done, even thought 5 seconds ago we were all sunshine and rainbows. 🌈

It makes me pause to wonder...why such a quick no?
Aren't you curious?!

Which of course makes me even more curious to understand our human ways.
It might be a quick no to my request or explanation, etc., but it turns out being a contemplative experience for me.

Food for thought 🤔

We really aren't accustomed to diving deep into our habits and reactions.
This is what is so incredible about hypnosis and meditation.
We go beyond the quick "no."

We ask, where do you feel that "no" in your body?
Is saying "no" a pattern in your life?
What do you tend to say "no" to?
When did you notice yourself first saying "no" and no longer feeling that sense of child-like wonder we all had as kids?
What if you said "yes," I'd like to know more before I respond?

I love to ride that line between.....trying to understand our human ways and interactions and possible opportunities....and learning to recognize when that "no" triggers a gut instinct in me that needs to be respected.

Tricky tricky!

Have you noticed a similar pattern in yourself?
Has it shut down potential opportunities?
What if you paused before shutting something down and considered what it would be like to move ➡️ with curiosity?
