This is a lesson spirit taught me and it affects not just the spiritual worker but also the people getting work done by spiritual workers that are not charging what they are suppose to. One of the biggest problems is a lot spiritually gifted people have been guilted into not charging enough to cover their expenses or have the ability to work a livable wage. First, spiritual workers cannot (not because we don’t want to) we energetically cannot work 8 hour days. Our energy, even when extremely powerful, usually last between 2-4 hours a day before we have to recharge which usually happens through sleep. So even when we are “napping” we are working to recharge our energy to be able to do ceremonies, readings and whatever other missions spirit gives us.
Secondly, not charging the karmic price, a lot of people forget that money =energy, energy is equal to karma. The “negative karma” in my practice is known as the negative energy the client accumulates due to regular life choice or past lives/ hexes, curses etc. when we don’t charge the karmic price we are saying I’ll take 100% the negative energy for only 20% of the karmic price. What happens to the other 80%? The practitioner takes it on, causing spells to backfire, cleanses to backfire, if the practitioner doesn’t transmute properly. If transmuted properly in the process of transmuting the practitioner has to LIVE the negative energy for a certain period of time, always having to catch up.
Lastly, the community use to take care of the practitioner so this arrangement use to be acceptable, however now practitioners have to fend for themselves. We don’t like to charge but have to charge for our work because just like the client, we also have the same if not more bills to pay. Many of us have to upkeep not just our personal bills, but also the bills of having and maintaining a temple/office which is where we keep the connection to spirit to be able to help you to begin with!
And this is the reason why so many spiritual practitioners die broke. I would know my family had been doing this for over 9 generations and the cycle ends with me. (Continued in pin comment)…
