While I won't be changing the name of our page there has been a significant change to our journey.
A week ago I (Darci's mom) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 39. This has been quite the adjustment for our family. We are hoping to do better at our goal of education and dispelling all the myths about diabetes.
We thank you for your support.

Something in the air today? I've been battling some major lows on Darci since this time last night. One of my 5th grade T1Ds today was low ALL FREAKING DAY! Here's hoping for better things tomorrow.

Life has been super busy for our posse. I have started working for my children's elementary school as the 504 aide in charge of the diabetics. It has definitely made life busier. I absolutely LOVE it though. I'm hoping to work over the next couple of days to update on this year's JDRF walk we participated in on Sept 7th and tell you a little bit about the different aspects of T1D I have been coming across in caring for Darci and other's at the school.
