A lot of people are confused about what a subluxation is, which is understandable because chiropractors have evolving definitions that change over time.

What we know now, based on the latest research, is, ironically, very close to what Chiropractic’s founder, DD Palmer hypothesized over 100 years ago, only the mechanism is a little bit different. And given he made this theory before X-Rays were invented, I think we can let that slide.
Perhaps even more profound is how close he was to the truth *without* any of the diagnostic technology we have today.
Chiropractic recognizes the body’s innate ability to heal and regulate itself, rooted in vitalism—the belief in an inborn intelligence guiding health.
Chiropractors focus on correcting subluxations to restore proper nervous system function

In chiropractic, a vertebral subluxation is a pattern of neurological dysfunction in the spine affecting three things:

Misalignment: or altered positioning is present.
Fixation or Restricted Motion: leads to reduced range of motion and overall movement and alters proprioception
Neurological Interference & Imbalance: the combination of misalignment and restricted motion (altered proprioception) disrupts and alters neurosensory input into the brain, leading to interference and imbalance within the nervous system.

Your body has the inborn ability to eat, breathe, adapt, grow, and reproduce, without any direct input of your own. It just happens.
***In the world of chiropractic, we call this innate intelligence.****

Everything is controlled and run by the brain through the nervous system via innate intelligence. It controls every cell in your body and runs 24/7.
For the record, I’m not even saying those things don’t work or are bad. I am a huge fan of breathwork! I’ve taken courses in it and teach it.
But if you don’t maintain the foundation, which is the nervous system, you’re not going to build the best foundation possible.

The truth is somewhere between 97-99% of all illnesses and what we call “disease” are really intelligent adaptive responses to Physical, Chemical, or Emotional stressors (blood pressure, tumors, cholesterol levels, inflammation, etc.).
Yes, we all inherit certain genetic traits, but how those genes are expressed is determined by your perception of your environment.
So instead, consider these questions as examples:
What is one thing I can do to reach my nutrition goals?
What is one thing I can do to make sure that I am getting proper amounts of quality sleep?
What is one thing I can do to manage my stress better?
What is one thing I can do to make sure that I am physically active?
What is one thing I can do to improve my relationship with food?
What is one thing I can do to improve my relationship with my partner/spouse?
What is one thing I can do to improve my relationship with my parents?
What is one thing I can do to improve my relationship with my closest friends?

Contrary to popular belief, discipline isn’t necessarily on an endless supply. In order to achieve your health goals, you don’t need to be disciplined 24/7 every day for the rest of your life, but you do need some discipline long enough to build a sustainable habit, and on average that is 66 days. So it is much less about acquiring more discipline, and more about getting in the habit of doing something. You need just enough discipline to build a habit.

This is yet another shining example of industry and your government putting profits before people.

Shielding information about pesticide safety and use from the public is a theme we see on both sides of the aisle when it comes to important health matters.

The concept of herbicide and pesticide use at all just tells us how lost we are as a collective.

To think products *designed to kill* are “safe” for humans (mainly under the equally shady GRAS designation) is, at best, a cruel joke.

Many pesticides are linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and reproductive issues, among others.

Scientists will continue to say that they are “safe in certain amounts” but never actually take into account cumulative effects or the combination of products used.

Never mind the obvious fact that pesticides don’t actually work. If they did, we wouldn’t have to keep spraying more and more each year. I don’t know how that obvious fact has not become apparent.

We have seen how bad this can get with incidents like the Dust Bowl, which occurred less than 100 years ago in the US.

This is directly attacking Nature on multiple scales. First of all, bugs and “pests” showing up are a clue that something is awry. Poor soil fertility, not rotating crops, not using cover crops, limiting plant biodiversity are all going to deplete the health of soil over time. The job of pests is to break down the dying and rebuild anew. They are not a nuisance. They are part of Mother Nature’s infinitely intelligent process.

The only real actions we can take is to vote with your dollar, buy organic and support local farmers whenever possible.

Technically, Section 453 is not law yet. It has only passed one stage in the legislative process and could still be removed.

Being vocal about this is a start- but the only true solution is to STOP BUYING THESE PRODUCTS AND SUPPORT ORGANIC AND REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE.

It is the only way.

Our own government has used the term “biofield” to explain this since the early 90s.
This is the disconnection between most people and our reality. But what I’m about to get into is new(ish) territory for me, so bear with me.
Call it prana, chi, meridians, chakras, ether, the Holy Spirit, or whatever you want- they are all terms for the same thing. The biofield AKA your aura.
The biofield is your sixth sense. More accurately, it is a body part. The biofield consists of interacting fields of energy and information that surround living systems, including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual layers, extending approximately 6 feet from the body.
As far as the NIH is concerned, it is the field of energy and information that surrounds and interpenetrates the human body, composed of veritable energies – electromagnetic, thermal; and putative energies. The East understands this as “chi” or “prana.”
Robert O Becker found this communication system in the body and coined it analog perineural nervous system.” The nerve-impulse nerves of the brain and body are digital. That means that information is in discrete steps of on/off. It is sensitive to the frequency of the signal. It controls the conscious mind and the autonomic nervous system (automatic control of blood pressure, breathing, etc.). This is the system that allowed his salamanders to regenerate limbs in his studies.
The IEEE 802.15.6 standard includes Human Body Communication (HBC), which uses the body as a medium for transmitting data, allowing for two-way communication between the body and external devices. These networks operate at low power and use the human body as a medium for communication, often leveraging electromagnetic fields.
All this is to say: whether you think it’s woo-woo or not, major health institutes and engineering institutions not only believe it, they use it and tap into it on a regular basis. Perhaps to log into you. Idk! More to learn!
