Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund The Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund provides assistance to Rabun County, Georgia, cancer patients, their families and caregivers.

Fundraising events and private donations help provide the necessary funds to support Rabun County cancer patients and families. It is every citizen's responsibility to see to it that those afflicted with cancer are given a helping hand. Less than 10% of the money collected goes toward expenses for the fund. Over 90% of the funds assist patients with non-medical expenses. In the time frame from 200

6 to 2019, the fund has disbursed over $700,000 to cancer patients of Rabun County. We are proud to have helped an average of 50 patients per year.

Rabun County Cancer Support group will meet Wednesday, April 15, at the Senior Center in Tiger. Raquel Durden, a cancer survivor, will be our guest speaker and will discuss her recent book “Dial Down…..Chaos to Calm”. Ms. Durden will lead a chair yoga session at 2 PM, followed with the group meeting at 3 PM. It is so important to share positive stories from patients battling cancer. Little Alaric was diagnosed with leukemia September 18, 2023. This brave little boy has finished treatment and rang the bell with his family last week! Thank you to Alaric's family for sharing his remarkable journey!
