I want to be honest about what actually shifted things for me because it was not what I expected.
1. I stopped trying to understand my way out of it. I was a psychologist. I understood everything. And my body still braced every single day. The insight was not the problem. The approach was.
2. I gave my nervous system consistent experiences of safety. Not one big breakthrough. Small, repeated, gentle practices that slowly taught my body it was okay to come down. That repetition was everything.
3. I added energy healing. This is the one that changed everything. Not instead of the somatic work, underneath it. Clearing what was stored at the energetic level that no amount of talking or processing had been able to reach. The shift was unlike anything I had experienced in 15 years of psychology.
4. I stopped waiting to feel ready. I did the practices on the hard days. Especially on the hard days. That is where the nervous system actually learns.
5. I gave myself permission to still be human. To have hard days. To not always access the tools. To be in process without that meaning I had failed.
Energy healing works. I know because I lived it. And I have watched it work for hundreds of people since.
