Energy is information and while your brain is the hardware it is actually your mind that manages this information and energy. Much of your mind operates subconsciously and unconsciously and it does this by managing programs holographically. These are your movie scenes or your past experiences that summate to create your beliefs and then elicit an automatic action or reaction from you.
When you think of it in these terms, the movie you watched that scared the living day lights out of you is stored somewhere within your body/mind as a hologram. It also means that the time you were stranded alone at the mall as a child is stored holographically within you. If you are unconsciously going through the motions of life, it is likely that in any given situation you are literally functioning in a trance state. This trance-like state, especially when triggered, can contribute to anxiety, depression, fears and even have effects on your physiology creating pain, migraines and other health complaints. In general, emotional stress – including emotions such as anger, frustration, and anxiety—gives rise to heart rhythm patterns that appear irregular and erratic. Physiologically, this pattern indicates that the signals produced by the two branches of the autonomic nervous system are out of sync with each other. This can be likened to driving a car with one foot on the gas pedal (the sympathetic nervous system) and the other on the brake (the parasympathetic nervous system) at the same time – this creates a jerky ride, burns more gas, and isn’t great for your car, either! Likewise, the incoherent patterns of physiological activity associated with stressful emotions can cause our body to operate inefficiently, deplete our energy, and produce extra wear and tear on our whole system. This is especially true if stress and negative emotions are prolonged or experienced often. In contrast, positive emotions send a very different signal throughout our body. When we experience uplifting emotions such as appreciation, joy, care, and love; our heart rhythm pattern becomes highly ordered, looking like a smooth, harmonious wave. This is called a coherent heart rhythm pattern. When we are generating a coherent heart rhythm, the activity in the two branches of the autonomic nervous system is synchronized and the body’s systems operate with increased efficiency and harmony. Through the use of a biofeedback sensor and an app or software, Danny is able to train you to self-regulate your emotional state and your heart rhythm to one of physiological coherence. The result is that you are more adaptable to stress, more resilient and may notice improvements in health and function.
